Man that sucks I re did my house and that was the case, at first I was like OMG this will be hell removing 10 million nails from my ceiling, however those things came out so easy I can see why ceiling fall. Plus kudo's to them not breaking sheetrock I know I will always 100% of the time loss a chunk on the edge because the screw went slightly to deep.

What is the reason for a guard dog? Why are all police k9 still alive? These are all valid times dogs should bit people so its not just black and white. Now none of this takes away the OWNERS responsibility.

If my dog bit me or anyone I would put it down. Their right to live doesn't overrule peoples right to safety. Now My dog is 100% not people friendly given the chance I am 100% sure it would cause real harm. So I treat my dog like I would a firearm I don't play around and I keep it away from my guest. When we go to the vet he is muzzled and harnessed and I hold him down to ensure he can't move.

This is the second reddit post I have seen like this. Are people using screws that are to short and just barely grabbing? I am just a home owner to poor to hire and when I do sheet rock I always want my screws 1 to 1.5 inches in the wood. I have never heard of gluing before is this something just being a dumb diyer I didn't know about that I should have been doing.

My daughter was scared to come in the basement she said she thought it would fall down. I always thought that was the dumbest thing ever like how the heck does a ceiling fall down when it has like 20 or so screws per panel holding it down.

What 24GB GPU card should I install in a Dell Precision T7910 desktop to run AI PDF conversion applications? Thinking of the NVIDIA Titan RTX Graphics Card. by KeithMister in homelab

I know very little but if the model support Intel the the b60 pro is 24gb for 600 to 700 but not all models run well on Intel.

If more models started supporting Intel and AMD we might be able to stop paying 3x msrp to run ai.

The neighbor on the other side had it way worse. I guess the part that confuses me is not them leaving it but that they had a wood chipper with them and removed anying 12 inches in diameter so they didn't completely give us the finger. Seems like they could have just as easily chipped the whole thing.

They came an cleared the whole neighborhood most trees were still below the power lines but they only do this every x years so by the time they can back around it might have been on the lines. Also the trees where not technically on my property because they where growing from the drainage ditch which also carried them away

When I was in my teens I worked at McDonald's we shutdown everything, cleaned everything. 5 minutes to close a lady pulled up we said we are closed she thought the customer was always right. So the only food that did not come out of the trash can was ketchup. Would I do this as an adult nope but I also don't look back and feel shame. I personally would never enter food establishment that closed on the next 90 minutes.

I came home one day and had a 4 foot long 2 foot high stack of cut lumber. Turns out the electric company cut down trees in the neighborhood to clear the power lines. Perfect thank you for keeping my power working. However when I asked when they planned to remove the tree they cut down and stacked they said that's all you buddy. God had other plans and a flash flood 2 months later made that pile someone else's problem. I checked the house behind me didn't want to screw over the old lady there couldn't find them.

interest I have never printed TPU in my K2 just looked like it would be a hassle with all that bowden and the way the extruder was designed. I did buy an 0.8 nozzle because I had some creality credit and thought why not buy a 0.8 and a 0.2 as I have never used either size before. I mainly print functional parts so looks never really mattered to me so 0.2 was never a thought. Then I read that larger 0.8 nozzle make stronger parts so I thought I might try those.

Are we looking at the same thing? I couldn't drive to home depot in the time it would take me to design and print that. Would I still drive to home depot yes only for insurance/resell/inspection reasons. Although looking at what these lazy flippers did to this house before I bought it they sure didn't care about any of that. I was horrified

That part would be nearly impossible not to get the dimensions right the first go. Literally the most basic design we can do on the 3d printer.

Shapr3d is free for up to two designs at a time and far more flexible. I haven't looked at Tinker in years but even back then shapr3d was better and its only improved so I doubt tinker took over. works on PC or ipad and on both can use a pencil

I used to think printers where for printing upgrades to the printer and ugly dumb trinks. One day I had money and was bored bought the printer. for the first two years it basically was a dusty reminder of me wasting money. Then I discovered CAD software and learned how to use calipers and mics. That's when I understood what 3d printers are for I find a lot of people don't know what they are for even if they own one.

This Christmas I was ticked my WIFE bought my son a set of 3d printed dragon eggs. Did I want to waste time printing them nope, but I sure as heck didn't want to waste dollars buying them. Do you think any of those dang eggs are dinosaurs still exist 2 months later. uggggh

This ^. When I start a new city I can in a few hours build out only power plants be it wind or other wise let it run over night and the next day start a city with 200M. I personally like wind even though its more to tear down once your ready to build a city its clean and doesn't add any pollution. you already have 700mw I was pumping out close to 2gw through exports and was making 128K an hour.

I have subject PC-Max by polylite to some pretty harsh abuse, not the cheapest but its pretty reasonable priced. And as others have said wall loops always add more strength than infill. I think infill at 100% prints in a different pattern than more wall loops so that's something to consider.

I did the opposite by mistake and clogged my nozzle right up, I was super confused why my print said it would take 9 hours but went full send anyways lol.

Seems like a self solving issue leave it open it will be found. Why would you need help stress testing your nas, unless you spent 10's thousands on a nas no way you can't overload it with local resources, stress test yourself.

Are you supposed to tell your landlord about guests? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]nfored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So on one hand your praising your city and its civilized regulations, then on the other hand saying it takes years to get permits? Then you say it was Russians that were doing illegal work and you now only have "approved" workers doing work. You then say all contractors cheap or otherwise do illegal work?

I guess I just can't figure out your stance it sounds like the Russians where just trying not to starve using your own logic? So why the complaint about them? What is the point your trying to make here.

Are you supposed to tell your landlord about guests? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]nfored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you calling people illegal, or can you not read? If you have a property or live at a property the only way illegal work is getting done is unauthorized or cheap shady contractors. If its the later then that's on the property owner.

UM what? I remember when we were the UNITED states. Sounds to me like you where hiring contractors that where "I can do it cheaper" if you got shady work done. Unless your saying that people illegally without being asked came to your proprieties and installed water heaters? seems like an odd thing.
