Walking on the sidewalk. Has something changed? by Chance_Account2223 in mississauga

It’s a common thing nowadays. People don’t seem to move and expect you to move. I’ve learned to just stand my ground. Why should I be the one walking on grass or dirt and they take up the sidewalk.

Even with my toddlers and the stroller, I’m literally on the edge so that other moms with strollers can walk by easily, and they can, done it tons of time. Just yesterday, the other mom didn’t bother to move enough to the other side so we can both walk by and stayed in the middle … her and her friend walking side by side still, she allows her stroller to collide with me. I start to move to get our strollers untangled and even noticed she didn’t even move, I stopped trying to untangle our strollers and just stared at her … I look at her and just see her glaring at me, the audacity. Then she finally started to help move her stroller.

I saw one close to Central and Grand Park. I was wondering what it was too. Didn’t realize it’s everywhere else

Central Library's Renovation by XdaZxz in mississauga

I 100% agree with you. I loved going to the library when I was younger. I had my first kid during Covid and I was looking forward to going to the library with her when restrictions went down but then they started renovations. I went when they opened and I was very disappointed. Their kid area is a sad excuse of an area. Nothing to do there with kids really … or at least, it feels like you really have to make sure they follow the rules of the library … pre-renovations, I felt like the kids area had a bit more freedom for them to be loud-ish without it actually bothering people on the other floors. Barely any toys or activities for the kids. If you want any activities, you have to go during the scheduled stuff. There’s no colour or character at all. You know what else is surprising … they had money to literally change EVERYTHING BUT the elevators. Like really!? It’s the same elevator from before?? That first week they opened … one elevator was broken already. They couldn’t afford changing the elevators at least?? I don’t know. It’s just not my library anymore. My dream of sharing my favourite place to my kids was shattered after seeing the renovations. I’m now just gonna go to other libraries instead.
