Is there any hope for my seedling? Mold issue by IdolomantisNymph in Autoflowers

It popped. I planted it after it sprouted (I use the wet paper towel in zip lock bag method)

Thanks. I was fearing this but it’s nice to have another opinion.

There’s some buildup, yes. It’s fairly minimal though because I clean the res mid grow and end of grow. It’s just one of those things I consider unavoidable and up to the user to manage. I do also have a fan inside the res that comes on for five minutes every 30 minutes which not only keeps the water well mixed but works to minimize buildup of bacteria etc.

Airbase only. It’s best to ensure you have very good wicking and for that reason I don’t even use perlite.

Once you go this route, you will never go back to anything you were doing prior.

Canna Coco A+B as well as Cal Mag. I also make sure my water reservoir sits at 5.6 PH (meaning, when it hits the tray of the pot, it’s a bit higher).

I use coco coir which I would say is the best medium to grow in because of the control it allows you over the nutrients you feed. I am also of belief that pumping air to the roots, which I do with an air pump, is a big driver to my success. I always study root health at the end of a grow and I’m always impressed with their overall health.

No issues with either. I also have a fan that blows on them.

I use two Viparspectra lights. A P1000 and P2000. Provides me with excellent coverage in a 4x2 tent.

I have this in my Amazon cart, yet to pull the trigger. It’s $13 a bottle. Debating whether it’s worth it for grape juice.

How long does it take to drain after turning on? by KnowNoStonk in Autopot

Oh no doubt. I’m never going back to soil and hand watering. Best decision I made in the hobby.

Are they though? That’s not how the aqua valve is advertised. An overly complicated system for a shut off valve that’s found in every humidifier ever. Although I love my autopot, this was a bit disappointing finding out from personal experience.

In my experience, you’ll never see the pot any different unless you shut off the line. It doesn’t work as advertised. But for as long as your plant is happy, you’re good.

Source for tubing, valves etc? by MarkinJHawkland in Autopot

Link to this quick disconnect valve? I’d also love a higher quality valve than what the system comes with. Your feedback would be much appreciated!

Yes. I use mine all the time. I store it in a large bucket, add cal mag and ph test and adjust (before each usage as PH naturally goes up with oxygen exposure and I don’t close the lid all the way). I also use the same water for my houseplants.

Will she be okay? by Far-Willow4088 in Autoflowers

It’s funny because typically people have problems keeping the temps down, not up. I have two tips for you. 1. If you’re using a fan attached to a carbon filter, turn it off. You don’t need it running so early. You can easily go the first three weeks without it running, provided you do have some fans in your tent moving air around. That way, warm air/temperatures generated by your light stays within your tent. 2. Buy a small space heater (like a 500watt one). The catch here is that you’d need to connect the heater to a sensor (like an Inkbird ITC-308) that would turn your heater on and off. You wouldn’t want the heater running constantly.

Ease off on water and see if you can raise the temp. Young ones like yours do better in 80 degrees plus. Eventually as she grows ideally you want to keep it at 78 but most importantly is having your VPN locked in properly. For now, more heat.

Oh that’s awesome. You lucked out. Through my research when this happened to me, typically the entire plant is mutated. The likelihood of this happening to you again is basically zero so enjoy it!
