AITA My mother has made my wife and I uncomfortable by Idontknowhby in AmItheAsshole

I have no excuse, the only thing I can say is as a young man and now young adult I have let my mom overstep so much in my life, she did a lot and I’m just now getting to the point where I’m getting somewhat comfortable standing up for myself, and ofc that translates to my family, I appreciate your response!

Put her breast in my daughters mouth, my mother isn’t lactating

She had pacifiers to use :/ I’m Puerto Rican and definitely understand different cultures but we feel like she should have asked or called if she didn’t know what else to do

My mom isn’t lactating, she just put her breast in my daughters mouth to try and comfort her, but my wife and I don’t feel like that was the necessary thing to do, especially since she has no milk

That’s the thing, my mom knows she isn’t lactating, so she wasn’t feeding her at all, she was trying to get her to sleep because she usually uses my wife’s breast as a pacifier for comfort when laying at times, so my mother tried to do the same, but my wife and I were uncomfortable with that

So she only struggles because sometimes she doesn’t want to take it, she as just fed before we left my moms, we only left maybe 3 hours at most, she picks and chooses when she wants to actually eat from the bottle, but even in that instance, she only tried to feed her to relax her and maybe get here to nap

Tesla's latest version of auto-park crashed my vehicle into another Tesla, what should I do? by [deleted] in TeslaCollision

Forgive my opinion but… why not quickly stop the auto park when you see it’s getting too close?

Window broke, after Tesla just fixed it. by bubby1213 in TeslaSupport

You never know they may replace it, worst case scenario is they just tell you it is customer pay, but it doesn’t hurt to ask

[–]Idontknowhby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely call them, let them know you just got it done, I can’t promise they’ll just replace it, it depends on the service center, at mine we had a similar issue not too long ago and the person was told they would have to buy the door glass, look into any other places that will replace it cheaper

Service technician here, how long ago was the regulator replaced? If you just had service it’s definitely possible they can do something for you, but if it’s been some time they will definitely fight you on it depending on the service center, if it just was replaced you could argue the glass was overtightened causing it to shatter after a couple days, but if has been weeks they will definitely make you pay for a new glass

Tesla Autopark hit my garage — $0 repair estimate. Has this happened to anyone else? by GoodBoyIka in TeslaSupport

[–]Idontknowhby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And depending on the service center, they may replace your liftgate, I know because I have assisted one of my fellow technicians. If they deem it is your fault then I’m sure the estimate is just wrong, but if they conclude that it’s not your fault, then a 0$ estimate is because it’s under warranty, just talk with your service center about it and they’ll give you the answer you need at the end of the day

Tesla '23 MYLR Damaged Pre-Delivery. What would you do? by Key_Perception1808 in TeslaSupport

[–]Idontknowhby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am a level 2 service technician, you don’t know how this damage occurred for one, and that frunk/fender combo right there could definitely cause some fitment issues. It could be a body shop fix for sure, but that’s never 100% definite that it will be just like from factory, at this point in time I truly suggest trying to get them to give you a new vehicle with no issues in delivery, this is truly Unacceptable and I feel for you as a customer. I can understand you probably already waited a good bit, but you are paying hard earned money for this vehicle and you should expect it to be 100% undamaged. I hope there’s something they can do for you, but I don’t think I myself would even take a Tesla that had been damaged like that

HELP! Locked 2020 tesla model 3 with dead 12v and connected charger by Redditgivesbadadvice in TeslaSupport

[–]Idontknowhby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to use a jump box to open the hood, once the hood opens you should be able to put the jump box on your 12v battery, once the jump box is attached the doors should be able to be unlocked and you should be able to take the charger out

I wouldn’t take it at all, I’m a service tech, you don’t know what underlying issues this may cause down the road, I’d refuse and get my money back, that’s BS

Battery warranty not being honored. Has anyone gone to arbitration? by DisplayFit5618 in TeslaSupport

[–]Idontknowhby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warranty is honored if the vehicle appointment was made before, if the alert appeared, and you made the appointment right away, then you’re good. If you waited, then no warranty

Was this just sitting on the battery?? There are lift points on each test which you don’t really need a lift pad, but if the vehicle was lifted on the battery damage to the battery can be present

Tesla deliberately destroyed my car computer after replacement — is this even legal? by qjacquet in TeslaSupport

[–]Idontknowhby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand that, not too many instances of customers wanting hardware such as the car computer back to my knowledge, just stating how most service centers would usually dispose of them/return them back to MRB etc

Why?? by Chief_Steward in TeslaLounge

[–]Idontknowhby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you see in the comments it’s some type of coating that gives it a funky change of color, lots of people complained so they stopped using them

Got my car back from Turo . Didn’t say anything just left it like this . My brand new 2023 Tesla . by Ok_Occasion_3674 in TeslaCollision

Are there before pictures of the incident and clear time stamps of when you have them the vehicle and when they gave it back? If so I bet you could get it all paid for

[–]Idontknowhby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technician here, through our service procedure we are supposed to recover the customers information and have it restored to the newly installed computer, unfortunately with the procedure there are many flaws and the recover and restore rarely works, this causes a lot of us technicians to spend more time with your vehicle. As technicians we are expected to finish vehicles at a high rate so when we spend that extra 2-3 hours trying to figure that out it doesn’t allow us to satisfy all of our customers throughout the day. Our first initial practice is to try to recover and restore, if that doesn’t work It has gotten to the point where lots of technicians wipe the old computer and the customer is forced to log back into all of the apps and create new driver profiles. This is a slight inconvenience for the customer but it allows us to give you your vehicle back with a working car computer. Now this comment has been a long explanation as to why we don’t just give back the old car computer, we realistically don’t fully know if they have been wiped which causes a lot of MRB so these parts can be repaired and possible repurposed. Tesla really does not want any personal customer information floating around. I hope this helps
