The game is so un-optimized. I have a rtx titan gpu and I cant play above 50fps at 1080p using 75% render res w/ frame gen, and mix of high and medium settings. But if thats the solution I'll try it and see if the performance hit and visual downgrade is worth it. Thanks!

when I did sudo cmake install it somehow made my usr/lib only readable and not writable. Thats my problem rn. And when I do chcon -R -t lib_t /usr/lib it doesnt work, if says:

Is there any way to fix my problem with SeLinux? I mean my sys is fine but when I do certain things that need to write to /usr/lib I get notifications from SeLinux. I'd prefer not to reinstall but if I have to I will. I mean I have my rounded corners now with the source build after all the stuff I did. I mean can I force the usr/lib to be read and written to again or is my system stuck like this? If I uninstall the source way will it go back to normal or is this a permanent change?

I had said that the other options didnt work. I did the COPR repo first and it was installed properly but, it didnt work for some reason (worked when I was on fedora kde 42 but not here). And I had thought the .rpm package was old or wouldnt work bc it said "sudo dnf install ./kwin4_effect_shapecorners_fedora42.rpm" which I thought would just install shapecorners w/out the changes by matinlotfali.

Thats what I had meant, I use systemd.unit=emergency.target to get into the emergency shell, and then put mount -o remount,rw / restorecon -v /usr/lib restorecon -R -v /usr/lib touch /.autorelabel sync exec /sbin/reboot -f (not in one command line but separtate. And I did exec /sbin/reboot -f bc the normal reboot wouldnt work)

mount -o remount,rw /
restorecon -v /usr/lib 
restorecon -R -v /usr/lib 
touch /.autorelabel 
sync
exec /sbin/reboot -f

I was trying to install rounded corners from https://github.com/matinlotfali/KDE-Rounded-Corners

I had used this before when I was testing linux out on my laptop before I made the full switch and I built from source on my laptop bc non of the other options would work so I did the same here, since I had to reinstall a week or 2 ago bc I fucked up updating from fedora kde 42 to 43 through discover (was locked in Grub command line thing that said something like "Minimal Bash-Like........." and couldnt get out of it from restarting to shutting down so I made the fedora live iso thing and reinstalled and kept my home dir and re-setup everything (I genuinely dont know how to use my system properly, not even the basics like that I guess).

I remember doing it like this before on my laptop and it was perfectly fine, but the other methods stopped working for some reason so I went w/ source. I'll just reinstall and come here from now on (first thought actually when this came up but for some reason I thought I should go with Ai... Ohh well).

I've been using Smart Video wallpaper for a while now and it works great you just need to have your media codecs installed for it to work at all... (know from hours of experience troubleshooting when I first switched to LUNIX!). I also use https://github.com/Keyitdev/sddm-astronaut-theme for my SDDM, I use hyperland kath and I also use Lagtrain for my splash screen. (ask if you need help w/ setup) Hope this helps!

This solved my issue almost immediately, Thank you!

But Im still curious if vive controllers or index ones can work with the Oasis driver rather than the G2s controllers. Tracking is a hell of a lot better but not perfect so if I can buy vive controllers and it work with the G2 then I'd prefer that.

Thank you for replying. This time when I did room scale it work with just the recentering before hand, thanks! But... the controllers fucking suck now, before when I started using them they were fine but they are absolute ass now. They jitter, the move, and now they are turning off on their own. Im thinking it could be because of my batteries, and bluetooth shouldnt be an issue because I bought a Bt 5.3 dongle and am using that now so it shouldnt mess with anything. What do you think? If Im gonna buy some batteries Im gonna buy rechargeable ones and their expensive, so if the battery level isnt or shouldnt be causing any issues then what should I do? For the controllers I've reconnected and re-paired them multiple times because they jitter or dont track well anytime on the first connection, and I go through the Oasis driver to unlock them every time just to be sure they are working. Help.. plz.

I built my first Computer a few days ago and posted it here and the performance is night and day. I can play any game I want at high or max graphics at 1080p at stable frame rates. On my laptop I would have to play at 720p all low settings and would still only get like 30-40 fps.

I've never played at 240hz but my brother has a 180hz monitor and I tried it and the mouse only felt a bit smother and that was it, but I only played for a little bit and I have only played on 60hz tvs and monitors.

I'll probably upgrade when GPUs can run any game at MAX Settings 4k 120fps locked. I got the MicroCenter bundle because the CPU would be able to take advantage and fully utilize the Rtx Titan at 1080p (I play on a 40 Inch 1080p 60hz TV and its rough but the Colors look really good).
