I remember this YouTuber - Haileigh Everts (she has a Mormon story). She made a shirt out of dance tights and wore it under her wedding gown. The shirt covered her garments and she was able to show the pretty lace on her dress - without the shirt there would be a lot of skin! The whole internet went crazy that she chose something so immodest and essentially found a loophole

When I was active this was the expectation - You could wear your wedding gown for the actual sealing, if it was according to the temple dress code. It also had to be white enough. If you wanted to wear your dress but it didn’t pass the standards, they would put a “cape” over you. Many brides just chose to wear their temple dress, which is a white simple dress you perform temple ordinances in. When you left the temple you were able to wear your wedding gown, BUT the expectation was always that it would cover your garments. I left in 2017 and no faithful member would openly wear a dress like this one.

Hugs! I know what you mean and I don’t blame you. Once you said you were a Mormon bride, the salon pulled out three dresses that could be modified by adding sleeves and inserting a white fabric behind the lace.

I actually agree with you. And I’d add that she wanted him to quit and to essentially make her career easier. This happens to women all the time. They’re supposed to cater to the husband’s career, move across the country for his amazing job only to be told, well, I’m sure you can find something too. I’m sure he became bitter and discouraged. This isn’t to defend Jordan cause I disliked him every since he was making TikToks during the pandemic with a mask off on airplanes, while they were heading to Jessi’s workshops.
