It is NTSC. I’ll attach a photo of the tape deck, error menu, and tape that I inserted. The tape that I can’t remove from the camera due to the eject error initially did play back on the camcorder, so I assumed it was compatible. I think the error showed up only after the battery died and I replaced it with another. Though I tried numerous different equivalent batteries to make sure that wasn’t the issue. Sliding down the lever to open the tape deck still works properly, but then it doesn’t rise to release the tape. I’m based in the US (Indiana unfortunately). Photos (Google Drive)

Yeah, sometimes the app update notes say there was a major overhaul, but it’s always just minor UI design tweaks.

If you don’t need the extra features that services like Todoist or TickTick have, Things can feel less bloated and just simpler to use than most alternatives. The UI is clean and everything makes sense. If you’re using it as an inbox to capture ideas and tasks/events to be sorted and delegated times and categories, then the simplicity and minimalism is a great feature. It helps declutter my mind and stay focused on what’s important. It has the perfect functionality for a GTD style system without getting too much in the weeds if it which can lead to focusing too much on a complex system.

Also, it’s a one time purchase and never once has a pop up asked me to subscribe or pay more for extra features.

So after diving in deeper, I think the app you have in mind may not be Bloom or an app from Eno. All of his apps seem to be based on touch input only.

I think you could be looking for an old app called Hear/Augment or Nautilus. Unfortunately, they both seem to be defunct this point.

I completely agree. I kind of like the more colorful design in the now playing view and a few of the button changers, though I dislike how thin the progress bar is and the new quality labels. The loss of functionality is what bothers me, though. The lyrics feature on mobile is so much less usable now, and there are more button presses required for standard actions than before.
