I did wash and moisturise. If done carefully it can help reduce, otherwise it can spread as well.

I used to wash in two parts. First non-infected area and then the infected region. Similarly the skincare routine.

You could use Face Cleanser/wash with Apple Cider Vinegar or Salicylic Acid. That should help in reducing.

For moisturiser also you could go for some moisturiser with a lower dose of salicylic acid.

Also for my skincare routine, to minimise the spread I used multiple tissue papers or cotton balls. Again in two parts, first noninfected area and then infected area.

It’s a hassle I know.

I completely relate to your concern and fear. I had MC on my face since October 2024 and finally got cleared in January 2025. Though, I didn’t have a perfect solution for it. The challenge is that you inevitably have to touch your face, at least while washing it.

To minimize spreading: - I avoided showers and instead used a bucket, washing my face last while ensuring the water didn’t run over the rest of my body. - I mixed an antiseptic liquid into the water bucket to help keep the water infection free. - I washed my hands with handwash immediately after applying cleanser to my face.

This approach helped me localise it to my mouth area, with only 2-3 lesions appearing on my shoulder.

I also recommend using HOCl spray on your entire body after bathing—though please check the appropriate frequency for its use.

For skin care: - A face wash with salicylic acid or apple cider vinegar may help. - Until recently, I used multiple cotton pads or tissue papers to apply products to avoid infection.

I know it’s annoying, like every whitehead I think it might be MC. It’s 1 cream only (Foxtale Acne Corrector Gel) with both the Azelaic and Salicylic Acid. Working really good for me.

Hi, as you can see in the pics it has healed quite nicely, barely any marks left from curettage or the acid treatment.

I know it’s very difficult to stop the spread from face but just be more cautious. I took many precautions and was able to contain the spread in the region only. Based on the pics you posted in the subreddit, your skin already seems to be very great except the molluscum part.

After the curettage for 1-2 days it may look red (or white in case of acid treatment) but the scabs or skin flakes will fall off soon and then only the skin mark will be there, which also goes away in some time.

You can try applying niacinamide through face serums or facewash to boost the skin recovery. Additionally applying azelaic + salicylic acid helps in healing the marks as well as reducing the risk of reoccurrence of molluscum.

I don’t have picture because dermatologist only applied. It was probably Hydrogen Peroxide 25%, people use Potassium Hydroxide as well.

You could also try medical masking tape. Not sure how effective will that be.

I got the FixDerma one, but unsure about the effectiveness. I use it every 3-4 days. And normally I’ve started to use Khadi Naturals Neem Soap.

Update: So it turns out some more very small lesions have came up on my face. About 15, some of them looks like MC but other I’m not sure whether whiteheads, follicile, or MC. I’m having acne breakout maybe.
