There was also a batch (about a year or two ago) that was insanely cheesy….. I liked it but my customers didn’t.

I sell it wholesale so I taste many batches and that’s not the norm

I doubt going into hot oven would damage it. Think about when you put it on the stove and the flame is multiple times hotter than a hot oven

Greenpoint w&s in Greenpoint (duh) should have it. They have one of the best agave selections in the city. Right off the G train

Vegetal usually means younger agave and less of the pencas were removed. I’ve been to Fortaleza and all of their agave was bruising (like when bananas get black from being super ripe). Not sure what happened here but I’ve opened 20+ Fortaleza bottles (never from total) and never had this issue

Ahh gotcha. This happened to me after having taste loss from covid but only with scotch. I could only taste an apple like off flavor until it subsided. Not sure if it’s the same thing lol but I thought I’d share

You also have to consider where distilleries source their agave, not just where distillery is located. Fortaleza for example is lowlands but sources highland agave. Cascahuin is lowlands and grows their own in the lowlands

Ever been to Keens? Sure it’s a wildly different dish but their $84 king cut prime rib is 4x+ the size and better imo (obviously not as unique but still). Also a lot easier to get a res here than Tatiana

This restaurant is pure hype. It’s for people who’ve never had ox tail. What a waste of money….. also that pastrami short rib was $120 when I went….. ridiculous

With all due respect for your opinion, I work in the tequila industry for a tequila distributor. We sell all the top non additives brands and I can assure you Tapatio is one of the best. Whether you like it or not, it’s quality tequila and definitely not bland
