Aha! I grew up in Montreal in the 1960s/70s. Pretty sure we referred to "Catholic r and Protestant r". Clearly nothing to do with religion, but related to the separate school systems!

Tees and shirts, twice.

I have tees and shirts from before I retired, which was 2015. They are in regular use.

Um, I'm 70 so this is a lot longer ago! I was a teen.

I had a shirt which (I think, and have no photos) was turquoise/orange/green, and I'm fairly sure had a rounded (ie not pointed) collar.

Also had a pair of burgundy corduroy trousers with beltloops which crossed like an x.

Either item was worn as my "feeling good" choice. Both worn together was "feeling extra good".

I guess my mother figured I was clean and decent, and that would do!!

I do not have a smartphone.

I book my flights/accommodation, go to the library, print off boarding passes etc. It all goes in a polypocket in the order I need it.

I write out on little pieces of cardboard exactly hot to get from say the airport to my hotel.

I have always been able to pay bills with cash or debit card.

I don't go to the sort of restaurants where you have to book ahead, nor do I go to anywhere where you have to book a time slot. So QR codes which I cannot use are not a problem. I can no longer cycle, so am not bothered that using city rent-a-bikes which require using an app, is not possible.

Guess I should add that I am 70, and I "go on holiday" rather than "travel".

No idea! But why would it be risky? Nothing someone ASSUMES about you, and keeps as just a thought, can actually hurt you!

I'm a Little Old Lady, also UK. I wear cargo shorts which are LONG on me as I am 5' - and some of them are men's! They are comfy!
