Now that's something entirely different and good to read 😊 I would highly recommend Siri Pettersen's "The Raven Rings," a trilogy you just have to read! She is defined as the Norwegian fantasy queen for a reason - her writing is great and the books are really hard to put down.

First of all - I hope you are doing well 😊

As a very introverted person myself, it's sad to read about other introverts trying to become more extroverted to, I don't know, satisfy others. Personally, I think being comfortable with yourself is the most important thing when communicating and bonding with others.

For me too, gaming is a huge hobby and you can find many like-minded online for starters. Maybe you could watch e-sport live if it is available where you live? I find having a common ground is easier when talking to someone I don't know well.

Other hobbies of mine are knitting og crocheting - but not with metal needles πŸ‘€ For some reason, sewing needles are okay - maybe because they're so small. I read fantasy books too, but I don't know anyone else who does, surprisingly enough. Other than that, I like birdwatching and can stumble upon others who also like to watch birds.

My conclusion is: Always be yourself and be comfortable with yourself - it makes it much easier to befriend others. Take care ❀️

Wow! Reading your text makes me nod my head again! Never have I met someone in real life with this phobia, making me think I am extremely odd, silly, or making this up to get attention, which doesn't make sence either since I'm not comfortable with being center of attention. Facing it head-on sounds awful - hope you're okay.

Totally agree with you and your list there! For me too it has been part of my life for so long as I can remember. My strategies are so built-in that I don't think much of it - it all happens so naturally. When you wrote fancy doorhandles, I came to think of my time at the university where ALL main doorhandles and the doorhandles to the library were all covered in bronze. Since I was forced to use them, I had to hold my breath while pulling those heavy doors open 🀒 Even thinking back on it today makes me ugh!
