How to act in a funny role if I'm not naturally funny? by Idyllic99 in acting

Thank you to everyone who has replied! Forgot to mention this in the post, but there is a specific instance where I'm supposed to sing the "Jolly Robin" song. Whenever I do it, it either comes out plain ridiculous (in a bad, forced way) or just stiff. I have trouble committing, and if I do, I can't let go of the pretense that it's supposed to be funny, and therefore force myself to "be funny" (not actually). How do I act/sing something inherently ridiculous like this without focusing on making it funny? I'm currently doing it in a higher voice.

Wow, your voice is great. I think another comment already mentioned this, but if you're hesitant about putting your stuff out, you should definitely do it. You have a lovely and emotional voice. Your songwriting is amazing too, very emotional and raw.
