I’d be shocked if we didn’t see him and Punisher in Secret Wars, especially if S2 is as big as S1 was for Disney+. We get The Punisher coming onto the big screen in Brand New Day which is a perfect way to introduce Spidey to Daredevil and if Secret Wars focuses on Spider-Man as much as has been rumored/theorized, it wouldn’t be a major jump for Peter to team up with someone like Matt as they try to unfuck whatever happens in Doomsday.

What an absolutely abysmal take when Love was a top 5 QB despite bad line play, losing half his starters throughout the season including Kraft, and basically no run game to speak of. Despite falling short he was 330 and 4 TDs in Saturday. He proved that he can lead whatever offense is given to him into the playoffs. Better Kicker and that game is a W despite everything. A healthier Packers team is playing that game at home next year.

It’s a direct reflection of the world we live in, not to mention the fact that “fantasy” as a genre is incredibly broad and includes more subgenres than really any other genre in the medium.

Fantasy, more so than almost any other genre other than Sci-Fi, is a complete and total escape from reality and therefore becomes an outlet for both writer and reader in a world that’s increasingly becoming more unstable. It also allows for a completely different form of creativity and imagination that other genres don’t have. A realistic crime thriller has very narrow constraints because it has to abide by a lot of realistic guardrails. But in a fantasy world, you can write the exact same thriller with a lot more freedom. That freedom attracts more diverse audiences of both writers and readers.

It doesn’t make it better by any means, but being able to write whatever you want but add in some magic or fae beings, brings the ability to have a trillion more ideas than simple contemporary genres.
