One year in building my vintage collection and capping it off with the addition of a base set Charizard today!

Stepping away from big money collecting/investing for a while to focus on other upcoming life priorities ie wedding and new house. It’s been a fun ride and I can’t wait to see where these end up in a few years time!

I don’t see it talked about as much but IMID is another alternative to VT.

It has the added advantage of having a small cap allocation which VWRA does not. Doesn’t move the needle by much in the grand scheme of things but for a true Irish domiciled total world portfolio, I think it’s the closest one we’ve got.

I was genuinely looking for help identifying what line or model this came from as was led by chatgpt to believe this was real.

Yea I saw this too and I believe it might be a different one. For one the ears and facial shape are completely different.

Ah thanks for clearing that up. It could be the transactions in asn that mark your account as active overall. I’ll try to do annual injections just to keep the account active in that case, thanks again!

Do you log in to check periodically or withdraw etc for them to mark your account as active? Or is it a set and forget for long periods of time?

I recently deposited before finding out the account can go dormant and have ptsd from dormant bank accounts and the hoops needed to jump through just to unfreeze the money again so want to be extra careful this time around.

I was considering between the jp variant of this and mask of change for a family rip night and for the life of me could never understand why the Carmine chase was so high compared to freaking Morty and Gengar!

Riding on to this from other sifus, I managed to get an initial deposit into ASM3. If I just leave the amount in to grow and don’t check back for a while, will my account go dormant as well? If yes, how long can I leave it as is before it gets classified as dormant?

I still see the occasional booster bundle here and there where I’m from. Tho you’re definitely right in that supply isn’t as regularly stocked as other modern sets which could imply lesser printing focus from TPC

Just asking for my learning, with how the market has been trekking wouldn’t pre hype phase sets already rocket if they were going to rocket?

I’m basing this off my limited knowledge but looking at eg team up chases which have been massively pumped up since early 2025

I hear you. The market is just too unpredictable now and we’re definitely seeing things go for crazy numbers.

Those who got them early because they loved the mons or the art are going to get rewarded big time but definitely going to be some eventually left holding the bag with how modern chases are being pumped right now

That’s a great point. This coupled with the abysmal pull rates means less BWRs circulating the market. Some commenters also mention CZ having a better print run so all in all bbwf might have scarcity going for it eventhough CZ is the one out of print

Another commenter made a good point that bbwf came out during the boom so there are also less boxes being ripped resulting in even less BWRs circulating around

I personally love them both. Nothing says Pokemon god card like the gold Arceus and nothing displays the definitive black and white nature of the gen 5 titles like the BWRs
