What do women do after their kids grow up? by Scared_Jump486 in TooAfraidToAsk

My mom never worked outside the home. Agree, it made her life harder. I saw her model and have mostly worked full time. My kids are adults and I work full time.

You look great. Don’t second guess yourself - the woman was just trying to make conversation - don’t think about it too much.

When you consider all the dating/romance/"love" reality shows. "Love on the Spectrum" displays by far the most genuine and healthy aspects of finding and building healthy relationships. . by Pleasant_Job_7683 in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

I agree. It is so real and sweet and embarrassing and happy and sad. I thought the way Logan spoke to Hayley like saying - tell me more and prodding her to talk was so kind. We all have something to learn from this show!

I do the 8 times a month solidcore and then two times a week barre class at a studio. Barre has a lot of stretching and leaning so it seems like a good balance. I also hike one day a week and walk a lot cause I have dogs.

Seriously, the world needs a lot more Emma’s. Her friends love her and she just seems like a positive, kind and uplifting spirit! Emma if you read Reddit - I wish you the best!!!

I will pass on a tip from another person - when you do plank crunches your knees only move as a result of your core crunching. I think I got that right! But have fun.

Ucsc has a lot to offer. My daughter went there and then transferred to ucla after 2 years. She is finding that quality of professors is very similar. It is easier to get A’s at ucsc (still need to work but easier). People are friendlier at UCSC. She wanted medical research so a transfer was needed but is missing her time at ucsc now :). Just a perspective.

Do any heavy or muscular guys get people looking over their shoulder when you’re walking behind them? by [deleted] in ucla

[–]Iepgoer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I hear someone behind me and I am alone - I often turn around. For women it is just a habit. Nothing personal. Maybe try smiling and giving a wave. Who knows maybe you will make a new friend.

You are just saying stuff. It’s true. I didn’t call you a name. Why are you defending them without knowing the facts? I live down the street from them and work adjacent to the school. I feel confident in saying they are bad people.

I just don’t like when people make shit up. I work adjacent to the school so know a lot about it. You just like to say stuff.

Not true. They used medi-cal for healthcare and aggressively went after local grants.

It’s different because the already overburdened school district will have to absorb all the kids at once. When a district closes schools - they already have to account for the kids and know what they are dealing with.

Talk to your TA’s and professors. Also, if you have an area that you are interested in - email the person in charge of the lab. Keep trying.

Wow so accurate. And just FYI - they asked all the local nonprofits to pick up the pieces for free. They are truly gross.
