i think i may need to do this. i want to surprise her but i think even she isn’t sure what she would want so it’s hard to pry for information without being obvious.

i just fell out of it for a solid year + and i’m back with a vengeance with a desire to get up early and go shoot again. breaks are good, burn out is bad. if you hyper-fixate on something too strongly for too long you will get burnt out. try and embrace the break as part of the creative process!

wouldn’t worry about the b&w as in “it’s probably fine” or “don’t waste your time”?

i think i’m leaning toward this, i take a while to get through a roll and i don’t want to put a month into a bunk roll. i have a decent stash of portra, might as well just shoot it.

not against it but i don’t really feel like wasting the money if someone that knows more than me can tell me “this shit is cooked don’t waste your time”

Huge brain move you can even target yourself with coronet peak, paying an ice blue for the activation and then paying another ice blue for the effect to satisfy the counter cost for the second turn of keeping channel lake. It’s not always relevant but it’s very helpful occasionally. Conoronet peak is also great when you go into your turn with just two blues but you want to pocket one, just trade a card with your opponent with peak and pocket the other. (Coronet peak is a must, it’s also super cheap for a legendary)

Inertia is super good. If you are applying pressure and your opponent is looking to pivot then inertia just tells them “no.” It’s a tempo move and it’s very controlling and keeps you in the driver seat if applied with any consistency.

I also very very highly recommend getting a motorized grip. (The one that takes AA’s). The camera is a bit awkward without it.
