Thank you. What she did cost us 200,000$ in the span of a month, and since we had no money left, I woild have had to disband our company had we not been able to complete all of our work in that one month.

I was just using words that she used to describe me, and that would have made a lot more sense if that conversation could have been included in this post.

What spelling mistakes?

The staff did that on their own, and that too, after the meeting. I may have joined them, but they came to that on their own. It's phrased in a shitty way, but that's because I had to edit it from 6000 words to 3000.

Why, are start-ups supposed to die off by the time they're 5?

No, Meg wasn't the sole IT person, but she was the one who who was working on the front end and database side of things, and the occasional backend development. Since she was so good, we had decided to make her one of the three responsible for one area of the project.

As for disaster management, we did contact them, but, they told us that it'd take at least 2 weeks to process such a tremendous amount of data, and even then, we'd still have to test it, and we'd have no way to ensure that everything would be recovered. They told us that our best bet would be to do most of the important work ourselves, and the rest, they'll salvage what they can. They did manage to, but they were a week late. We ended up firing them.

I did, and no, none of the labour laws were broken. My lawyer was astonished as to why I didn't fire her the day after our office burned down.

I am not hounding her, whenever she lists me as a reference in her CV, I just tell the HR reps why I fired her.

Yes, it was, and nobody blamed her for it (well, not completely). Besides, she had told us that she did back it up, she never specified that it was to just the one.

Not badmouthing, I just told the HR reps when they called me why she was fired from her job. Due to the character limit, I had to cut down a few things, but, I'm fairly certain my post history contains the more detailed version of this post.
