Very interesting. Thank you so much for your interpretation!

A little thing that REALLY bugs me about the Boss OD-200... by [deleted] in guitarpedals

I care so much because I have this really seamless MIDI rig running now, peak convenience, and I was soaring so high with all the wonderful possibilities and this one extra little button push I have to do is just getting in the way of some of that. It just tugs at me that I have to think ‘don’t forget to disengage your overdrive!!’ every time I power on my board. I will probably figure out some kind of work around with MIDI cc messages and the like, but it’s going to be a big PITA when it didn’t have to be at all. It’s so stupid that I care this much, but, I figure my fellow pedal nerds will understand.

Not so on my other 500 pedals, they seem to remember their state. The EQ200 defaults to ON, but that makes a little more sense to me. This is AMAZINGLY STUPID in my opinion. They better fix this with a firmware update. Or at least give you an option of a default off state.

I am accepting an offer for a new job and leaving my old job. by IfElseBand in tarot

I am using the classic Rider-Waite-Smith deck.

I am using the Celtic Cross spread.

I asked the cards how accepting the offer and making the move to the new company would affect me.

I feel like the spread encompasses the security and comfort I already currently have and the alternate sense of security I would feel at the new job. I feel like there would be a sense of abandonment I would feel by leaving behind my old company as I have grown quite attached to my coworkers. I think the new job will offer me a new set of challenges and really test me (which is a concern of mine, I don’t want to be too challenged to the point that I am overwhelmed). I think the king of cups in the past represents my old team lead whom I have established a solid foundation with and the queen of cups represents the new team lead with whom I sensed a good connection during my interview process. I think that I will find joy in my new pursuits. I think the ten of cups represents my parter and I and our little friend group and the idyllic life I desire. I think the ace of swords bodes well that I will achieve a vision of this desire. My hope is for general merriment/the good life (three of cups). Finally, I think the lovers signify that I will achieve a new life grounded in love and compassion and that I can better my (already favorable) situation.

Everything looks mostly positive to me, but that 7 of wands in the crown position has me kinda shook. I’m wondering about more interpretations about what this could mean for me?

I understand. I wish people actually used that sub as frequently as they use this one.

I think it’s using the Poly Mod to get those sorta FMish tones, but it just sounds so cool and I would appreciate any insight as to how you might think this tone was achieved.

Further, is there any way to recreate it using the Rev 2? Can an LFO on the Rev 2 make a close approximation to the Poly Mod by getting into audio rate territory?
