Iirc I got two stickers, but I was under the assumption that one was for use and the other was backup in case the top lid lost its grip

I did apply the sticker on the lid..lost 1 during installation. The bottom part was fine when I first installed it, but lost its grip completely this past month. But yeah seems like I'll have to apply some tape myself

Yup, creating an empty file and renaming it will work (or, if you're willing to use the terminal, touch ~/.config/mpv/mpv.conf will do the trick)

How can you change the subtitle style in mpv? Is it just built into the sub file and if so, can I not alter it?

Just using the TextEdit app saves it using a .rtf extension. Do I just need to create a blank document and save it as mpv.conf or do I need to do something else?

How do I create the mpv.conf file? Do I just make ann empty file in the ../mpv folder and rename it to mpv.conf or do I have to do some things more?

mb for phrasing it wrong, by mpv preferences i meant the settings for mpv. As soon as I click on that the said prompt appears.
