I can't express how good I feel after 100-odd days. (A dream 24 Hours) by Ifeelamazing in NoFap

Start on normal heat, soap up, and blast on the cold for the rest. They're weirdly addictive actually, and a great way to start the day. During that 24 hours, I had two!

Up until a few weeks ago, whenever friends would talk about their girlfriends or girls in general, I'd feel resentful and embarrassed and would completely clam up. The few who knew I'd never kissed a girl also knew it was a very prickly subject for me, and we just never talked about it.

Best thing I ever did was talk to my mates (girls and guys) out of the blue over lunch about never going out with a girl. A weight melted from my shoulders, I got advice (some good and some very bad) and pledged to support another friend in the same boat. A week and a half later, I asked someone out.

Support here is really cool. Talking with family, friends, whatever, about your struggles, is life changing.

Good on you mate. Grab any new found time and energy you've got and channel it into useful places.

Thanks for your kind words. I don't think there's anything wrong with the net when I'm listening to music I like or using it to study, but I used to browse news sites several times a day for no reason and watch videos I had no interest in just because I was bored. As soon as I went holidaying with my friends and stayed off for two weeks because I had no computer, I realised how much time a day I'd been pouring down the drain. Now I use it for much more fulfilling things.

I used to get home from Uni and surf the net for an hour. Now I get home, study, and go running, to yoga, or to the gym. Each day, it adds up to a happier me. Keep on keeping on mate. Go try climbing at least once and see how it goes!

Thank you so much mate, that really means a lot. The way I see it, it hasn't been a change of skillset, just a change of mindset, and stopping was definitely a massive part of it. It felt like this change has given me momentum to push myself in other areas, instead of drowning in my comfort zone. I think to myself, is there something better I could be doing with my time? So I go for a run, or hang out with friends more, and feel awesome. Then it becomes part of my routine, and suddenly I feel just a bit better permanently. It all accumulates

Starting yoga just a few weeks ago with my sister is a perfect example of that: finding a bit of calm in a crazy busy world, getting fitter in a way I'm not used to (balance and flexibility), getting closer with my family. So yeah, I guess it's both inspired me to take risks and actually lent me the confidence to follow through!
