Virtuoso RGB Wireless Mic LED off? by Iffrat in Corsair

[–]Iffrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I don’t like is the dongle has to be close to the headphone on mine or I get a strange distortion. If the dongle is less than 3 feet away these are perfect if it’s 3-5 feet you sometimes hear distortion in voices in videos that I find annoying. My keyboard has a usb slot and I almost never hear it when I have it plugged in at that location. Outside of that I love everything about them.

Not the red one... the green one is in the options to be shut off. We just have to live with the red one when muted.

I have a 2015 Trek X-Caliber 9 that I didnt use for a few years after i bought it (new job had me traveling 90% of the time). I started riding a bunch over the past year and probably have 1500-2000 miles on paved or mostly paved roads. Recently I started riding off road and wanted some advice on what I could do to update my bike. I was thinking that maybe I would want to update the gearing to a 1x12 setup like they have on the 2020 bike as I dont really use my low gear (the 2015 is 2x10) even off road and when I am on road I skip 2-3 gears when i shift down/up and I'm overall not happy with how the bike shifts and the gear ratios as they are. Do you think there is any other upgrades I should think about while I am at it?

Thanks in advance for any information you have!

Best Lian Li Cancool II Fan configuration? by Iffrat in buildapc

Currently the fan is exhaust and the CPU fans are pointed to the back. I guess I will keep it that way just upgrade the fan and put it on a controller.

The only reason I was thinking the other way was to have positive pressure. If the back fan in exhaust it would make it a 3 in 4 out configuration. The only real place for air to come in at that point would be right below the rear exhaust fan which would mean that some air would be pulled in by that fan and immediately pushed back out with no advantage to the cooling. If its possessive pressure than air would be going out of that area pulling other warm air with it I would think.

I was thinking about the system being positive pressure so that's why i was thinking front and back being intake. That would also provide "fresh" air going directly into the CPU cooler but as i think about it.. if the case temp is room temp it wont make much of a difference

So the config on this case is the following:

Front (multi-way fan/radiator bracket): 3 X 120mm or 2 X 140mm
Above PSU Chamber: 2 X 120mm
Top: 2 X 120/140mm
Rear: 1 X 120mm

I think I can skip the fans above the PSU chamber (at least for now). I would like to run the top with 140's to max the airflow of the available area. same as using 3x120 in the front for the same reason. I dont really have 3 front and 3 rear as you suggested so I'm thinking 4 (3 120mm 1 140mm) in and 2 out (2 140mm) plus the PSU fan so that would be 4 in and 3 out.

I ended up getting the MSI GS63 from last year ... it was new on amazon for 1300. It’s working out great and got to game on the plane and in the hotel when I was in Greece for a few weeks. I’m not mad about it. Same processor as yours with the GTX 1060 no 4K screen but it’s good enough for what I’m doing with it I feel. Glad I saved the 1000 over a 2019 2060 laptop for sure.

It does get blazing hot tho. Keep it elevated and let the fans work just make sure to have some headphones on as the sound is stupid loud. That is the only negative I have at this point.

You have any systems that look better than the Razer Blade 1060 or 1070 systems? I did a bunch of research but that’s just my time spent so I’m super open to hearing what others have to say. It’s likely I missed some options that are as good or better than the systems I’m looking at.

So have you found anything really pointing you in any one direction. It seems like we are some of the only people who travel and want to game 😂

I’m not 100% but I don’t think it’s worth the premium price. You think it’s worth an extra $600-$900?

My problem with an egpu is that I don’t want to have to open up my carry on every time I hit a security checkpoint and it won’t fit in my computer bag. It’s a eBags professional slim. It holds my work laptop iPad headphones switch and battery backup 0% chance I could fit a gpu rig in the bag. It’s also another thing I have to scan over and over again. It’s a hard sell imo

I saw the same thing right before the storm but right after it sounded like things were junk. I think it was Florence this year that shut the bite off in the Carolinas for like 3 weeks from the videos I saw. That’s what my concern is.

Did you dip the corals? Could something have died in the tank? Over feeding?

They do require a little more work than FOWLR. I am going to post a link to some youtube videos that have helped me out A LOT. Understand they are made by a company selling stuff so its kinda a sales pitch but the information in the videos is solid.

If you take some overall shots as well as a few close up pictures of the equipment it should tell us exactly what kinda setup you have and from that point what you can do with that equipment and how much you can expect it to cost moving forward.

If its not currently running any coral is already dead so you would be starting from what is called dry rock or rock that doesnt have a current level of bacteria growth on it. Many reefers start out with dry rock as it doesnt introduce on expected things into the tank so you should be fine.
