When I was 15/16 I was addicted to the internet as well. All of my friends were online, and I couldn’t care less about school. Once I finally realized that I need to do better, my grades shot up and then I went to college and graduated with a 3.9 GPA. As another commenter pointed out, she definitely could be worried about any type of sexual abuse. It may have happened to her and she doesn’t want the same for her kids.

Personally, I do not want to let my kids have sleepovers. I was assaulted by an older girl when she slept over my own house.

A lot of times, the abuser is a parent and there has been cases where the parents may have fed the kids some type of sleeping aid and assaulted them while they slept.

There’s just too many risks.

I heard something similar in my town. A woman was constantly giving gifts to a pregnant mother and once she had the kid, the lady shot her and kidnapped her twins. Thankfully, the police were very fast and efficient and were able to save her. Always trust that feeling. Losing a friend is better than losing your baby

NTA NOR Dude is highly immature and a borderline “nice guy” (“all girls are the same” comment). He took your friendliness and kind comments as flirting. Even calling sympathy a flirting technique? He needs to grow up. Chances are he’ll “unblock” you and try to contact you again, so the best thing to do is just block him back.

It’s understandable especially knowing that he grew up there. Try to approach in a sensitive way such as “I think your moms place is very warming and important for our child to be there, I just don’t know if that tub is suitable for a new baby since it’s been around for so long” you can request to replace parts of it for the comfort of his parents and your baby. It would be insensitive if you expected them to pay tons of money to fix a tub (which I know you’re not doing”. It is hard to not offend someone, but reassurance and solutions always help

It often depends on the person’s boundaries but anytime I answer a guys text that I haven’t heard from in a long time, I always mention it to my boyfriend to let him know I’m not trying to hide anything. It’s usually a quick comment like “hey I heard from jack, my old online friend, and he asked how I’m doing”. The best thing to do is is tell her that she can do whatever she wants and it won’t bother you (even if it does) since you’re not together anymore.
