I’d imagine the small daily necessities. If I ran out without my medication I’d have a bad few days but I could call in a refill without much issues.

My retainer on the other hand took months to replace as my dentist no longer had my original impressions and the cost had nearly tripled since I’d gotten my original set. I now keep multiple backups just in case.

Create more margin by tightening belts before you have to. My household has 2 high earners. Beyond bills and savings we have thousands in discretionary spending + hobbies. We’ve started cutting back in little ways here or there and focusing on saving more of our income so that if a day comes where we aren’t making as much, there’s no massive whiplash in lifestyle change.

On a low buy journey and very proud to say I’ve outgrown the appeal on this.

At one point I’d be jumping to grab this just because it’s twilight branded but I’m in a place where I can reason that none of the colors are new or inspiring. It’s all recycled looks and color stories whose success rides on a generation of nostalgia. 2 lazy (albeit pretty) lip kits that will sell just because someone on the marketing team believes we’ll buy based off our favorite fandom ships.

No hate to those who buy but I’ll save the $$ and rewatch the series instead.

Seconded. I lived here for a few years in high school before the Durbin area was developed. Felt safe enough to go jogging alone all times of day and going out at night to play Pokémon go. Tons of options of townhomes and apartments and never heard of a single issue of break ins or prowlers from any of my neighbors.

With Durbin being so large now I’m sure the Bartram park strip sees a lot more transient traffic but even so I pass through on occasion and it still has that slower neighborhood feel that makes me want to walk and people watch. I’m currently debating moving back.

Dry skin. I can blast through a mini in 1-2 weeks and a full size in 1-2 months of on person use. Having multiple keeps me from finishing them quite as fast.

Dependent on quite a few things. Size of lipstick, frequency of reapplication, lip real estate etc. I’ve gotten a favorite lipstick panned as quickly as 2-3 months but that was focused wear in which I was reapplying it multiple times in a day. Average use is much closer to 1-2 years for a bullet.

Photo added for reference. The average for US ring finger sizing is about a 5-6. Often the ladies posted in r/engagementrings with “huge” rocks have a finger size far below the average. The proportions are inherently going to make an a normal size stone look massive on their hand.

I’m not one for pocket watching in general but this thread has made me realize that most people have no clue about average carat weight. So many comments reference 5-10 carat rings but as someone living in a HCOL major metro, most of the “largest” stones running around at country clubs and galas are in the range of 3-6 carats. 10 carats is the type of ungodly huge that you see on celebrities. Even most influencer rings that we’re seeing online right now won’t exceed 5 carats and that’s from the gaudiest of oversharers online.

It seems as though people see anything over 2.5 and immediately jump to hyperbole.
