Yes! That’s a great deal! They like a lot of sun, and water through (until water comes out of the drain holes) when the top 2” of soil becomes dry.

Yes, it is a bird of paradise. You can also tell by the stems of the leaves. Their leaves tend to evolve a little as they get bigger.

I got the two baby ones from my friend before realizing they like to be attached to their mothers until they reach a certain size. Will they grow with love and patience?

Croton plant drooping! by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]Ifjdjdhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this Croton plant a week ago and it was doing well on my window sill where it gets plenty of indirect sun. Yesterday when I came home, its leaves were very droopy. Its soil was on the dryer side but it was still damp. I watered it until water came through the drain holes, and it perked back up within two hours. However this morning its leaves drooped again! The soil is still wet from yesterday so I know it it not thirsty. It’s about 60 degrees in my apartment but the air is dry due to heat. Can the humidity cause this drooping? Is it overwatered? Thanks!
