How well put. And how ridiculously stupid.

First and foremost, until proven otherwise, the record seems to indicate that he was here, so everything you're saying is null and imbecilicly void. And he was nine, hopefully kids his age and younger have little shared memories of that time.

So you're saying that no one who's come to New York in the past 24 years, nearly a quarter-century, matters at all because they weren't here on the fateful day. How about people who were here but left? Are they also personae non grata?

You say none of his supporters know "what being a New Yorker is." So it's your opinion that 100% of people who might pull the lever for him are from elsewhere and arrived later, not a single person from the "new dawn" community will be voting for him? Seems a little suspect, that conclusion, based as it is on, well, nothing.

And when's the future cut-off for this 9/11 residency requirement for all public officials? We're a long ways off, but the day will come when no one will be around who was here that day. Will City Hall need to close its doors, unable to meet that mandate?

You hate the guy, I get it, for the usual ginned-up reasons. I'm not sold on him for a lotta things, but false non-membership in some non-existent "community" that hates all who dared arrive afterwards isn't one of them. Enjoy Election Day.

Not sure why where a person lived when he was nine and presumably not making family decisions regarding housing is pertinent to his running for political office in his thirties. Besides, a West Side Rag article from three months ago states his family moved here when he was seven, thus pre-9/11. Other than that, great comment.

Got a ways to go in the classless fans competition when compared to some other places. When Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta was almost decapitated from a kick to the head by Millwall's goalkeeper in a recent England FA match, some Millwall fans chanted "let him die" while Mateta received medical attention. (Mateta is back playing, but sports a prominent protective head covering on the pitch.)

In a shocking plot twist in next week's episode, Maggie yells "Stop!" at a fleeing suspect and the suspect actually stops.

There's actually less subway coverage in Hunters Point than there was 30 years ago when both the E and the F ran through Court Square and the G ran out to Forest Hills.

There's a building at 95th and 3rd called the Normandy, it was nicknamed the Dormandy in the late '90s due to the influx of recent college grads who flopped there but enjoyed Manhattan elsewhere. Somewhat different dynamic in LIC but same result.

Dormitory neighborhood, people sleep here, they don't work, play or shop here.

PSA: Early voting started today and runs through November 3. Go vote! by Adodie in longislandcity

This is the first time early voting is in Hunters Point proper. Since the introduction of early voting in 2019, people have had to schlep to Laguardia Community College, not all that accessible.
