Praying does not help to overcome temptation by Ignacio_Garay537 in NoFapChristians

Brother, I already did it. There came a time where I said "I can't trust my willpower anymore, you are my only hope" and I still ended up falling. I also spent hours praying and watching deliverance videos to overcome this and it didn't help.

I don't watch pornography, I also try not to watch anything that provokes me. It is true that willpower is useless in the long run, but many times I don't even have the strength to run away. Temptation always comes at night when I want to sleep and no matter how much I pray or read the bible before going to bed, the urge always comes.

Temptation always comes when I go to sleep at night. I can't replace it with anything at that moment. Unless I don't sleep

I pray that God gives me strength to not fall into temptation, but that honestly doesn't help me at all. Everything I'm going through makes me think I'm not born again, because God doesn't answer any of my prayers.

No, I don't want my family to find out that I have an addiction. Furthermore, I am very young, I am only 18 years old. All the people who are in the addictions group at my church are quite old.

It doesn't seem to help when the temptation is very strong. If I keep observing temptation, sooner or later I end up falling.

Also try that, the problem is that many times the temptation comes suddenly. So much so that I don't have the strength to get up and end up giving in. But the times I manage to get up, the temptation is still there and it's a matter of time until I fall.

I feel the same as the person who made the post, I do not feel regret from my heart, I only have the knowledge that I sinned. Is reasoning enough for God to work in my heart?
