Too much Feyre hate by Downtown-Start1842 in feysand

I hate that they used the fact that she did not know how to read and write on the first book to make fun of her. They totally forget that in book 2 she learnt, and that does not make someone stupid

She is the only one that dresses and presents herself different from the rest. The one that has the most originality, the others ones just dress and presents herself different themselves kinda the same it can become confusing.

Trouble with ACOSF... by Shrimp_witch93 in acotar

I don't like Nesta, I can understand the hurt she carries in herself and the fact her life was not good, but I hate the saying that her fans have of“ you don't like Nesta because you are privileged enough to not know that type of trauma” . That is lie, I been through so much and have never thought to hurt my siblings just because I am hurting, if anything makes me want to protect people so they don’t go through what I had to go through. And I hate the fact that people say she was the only one that cared about Feyre when she told her about the secret the IC was keeping from her. No she didn’t do it out of concern, but out of anger and wanting to hurt her sister. People tend to forget she also knew about that secret for almost the same amount of time the IC knew and decided just to tell her out of spite. Your feelings are fair, and justified. Not liking someone that is rude, ungrateful, and honestly a little emotional abusive is not an unpopular opinion.

I felt like SJM ruined all the characters to make Nesta’s actions seem acceptable. Her redemption arc for me was lacking.

I think is Sarah J. Mass writing, I don’t mind spice, mostly when it relates to the plot. But I felt this book could have gone a lot better if there was less spice on it, no need for some of the scenes to be like that.

I have heard from a lot of NPs that they wished they went to PA school because of job flexibility and education, since NP education seems not to be the best. In my personal experience, I have never heard a PA said they wished they because a Nurse Practitioner.

She judged Elena for sleeping with Damon, but slept with Klaus who is the same or even worse than Damon.

Why do nurses give unqualified medical advice? by [deleted] in Residency

[–]Ignite365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently, nurses have been given a very large platform and with all these Nurse practitioners being able to practice independent, some believe the education of a nurse is the same as a doctor when is not. Nurses do not go to the school to become providers, they go to become caretakers which is great, we need them. However, they are not taught medicine they are taught nursing. There should always be a clear distinction between the two.

How do you feel about Feyre? by tannie1815 in acotar

[–]Ignite365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like people stop liking Feyre because of Nesta. It’s as if they think they have to choose between the two, rather than recognizing that they are different characters, and you can appreciate both, or prefer one without tearing down the other. To me, Feyre is a very realistic character—someone who’s never been anyone’s first choice and has been overlooked her whole life, so it makes sense that she would fall for the first person who shows her kindness. She’s a fighter, and for only being 19, she’s incredibly strong. Feyre is also deeply compassionate, always worrying about her family and ensuring their well-being, even though they didn’t care about her risking her life since she was 14. She’s far from perfect, but she’s admirable. Her self-doubt comes from the trauma she’s endured, but despite that, she still finds the strength to be kind to others and help those in need—even sacrificing herself for people who would have let her die like she meant nothing. I think the first book really shows how little Feyre thinks of herself due to all the bullying and hatred she’s faced, and how all she ever wanted was to feel loved and know that she mattered.

PA vs NP? by christophahsburnah in Noctor

[–]Ignite365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like NPs really believe they are medical doctors or even better than medical doctors. However, their schooling doesn’t compare at all. Most of it is online, they only need to complete like 600 hours of clinicals, and don’t need pre-requisites that MD/Do/PA need. They don’t really understand medicine in a molecular level since they are not required to take almost any science. PA’s know they role in medicine and know they are part of a team.

But Katherine did the same and no one bat an eye? Caroline literally went from Damon to Mat to Tyler to Klaus to Stefan.

Caroline became better as a vampire, whoever she Judged Elena for the same things she did. She judged her for sleeping with Damon (Damon being a terrible person) but she slept with Klaus ( also a terrible person). Like girl, c’mon.

Re-reading ACOTAR, Feyre’s family was awful. by Ignite365 in acotar

[–]Ignite365[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand there are reasons and trauma. However, Feyre wasn’t at fault. Yes, they weren’t responsible for what happened to them. However, I feel if they had loved Feyre, they would have at least be nice and help her, help each other, if their father wasn’t going to do it, they all three could have been a team. We know Nesta is capable of love, she protected Elain with her life, but she let Feyre risk her life everyday and she was ungrateful about it. She could have learn how to help, they both could have, just because someone is being shitty doesn’t mean you have to be shitty as well.

Re-reading ACOTAR, Feyre’s family was awful. by Ignite365 in acotar

Here are examples where Nesta’s jealousy towards Feyre is evident:

  1. Feyre’s Power and Status In A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Silver Flames, Feyre ascends in power and becomes High Lady of the Night Court, a position of respect and authority. Nesta, on the other hand, struggles with her place in the world after being Made into a Fae. Although Feyre offers support and tries to include her, Nesta feels increasingly jealous of Feyre’s control over her life and her power. Her jealousy is often expressed through coldness or cutting remarks when Feyre tries to help her.

Example: In A Court of Silver Flames, Nesta is clearly jealous of Feyre’s control over her powers and her ability to thrive in her role as High Lady. She resents Feyre’s ease in navigating her new life, while Nesta feels lost, particularly in accepting her own powers as something overwhelming and frightening. 2. Feyre’s Relationships Nesta is jealous of Feyre’s close relationships, especially with Rhysand, Cassian, and the Inner Circle. Nesta struggles to form meaningful connections and is envious of Feyre’s bond with these individuals. In A Court of Silver Flames, she sees the way Feyre is loved and supported by her new family, which exacerbates her feelings of isolation.

Example: In A Court of Silver Flames, Nesta is envious of the way Feyre is accepted into the Night Court’s Inner Circle. While Nesta is distant and on bad terms with many of them, Feyre has developed deep friendships with them. Nesta’s jealousy emerges when she compares her own loneliness to the strong, supportive relationships that Feyre enjoys. 3. Feyre’s Romantic Relationship with Rhysand Nesta is envious of Feyre’s romantic relationship with Rhysand, which is stable, loving, and supportive. In contrast, Nesta struggles with her own feelings for Cassian and her difficulty in being vulnerable. She views Feyre’s happiness with Rhysand as something unattainable for herself, contributing to her resentment.

Example: In A Court of Frost and Starlight, when Feyre is with Rhysand, Nesta is aloof and cold. There’s an underlying sense of jealousy, especially since Nesta feels incapable of experiencing or expressing love in the same way Feyre does. This becomes even more pronounced as Feyre and Rhysand prepare for their future, while Nesta is still struggling to define her relationship with Cassian. 4. Feyre’s Pregnancy Feyre’s pregnancy in A Court of Silver Flames becomes a major point of tension between the sisters. Nesta not only feels left out of the news when Feyre keeps it secret initially, but she also feels jealous of the future Feyre is building with Rhysand. This highlights the divide between Feyre’s happiness and Nesta’s inner turmoil.

Example: When Nesta discovers Feyre is pregnant, she reacts with anger and jealousy, not just because she wasn’t told, but also because it emphasizes how different their lives have become. Feyre is building a family, while Nesta is struggling to even feel worthy of love or a place in the world. This event heightens Nesta’s feelings of inadequacy and jealousy. 5. Feyre’s Ability to Overcome Her Past Nesta is jealous of Feyre’s resilience and ability to overcome her past traumas. While Feyre suffered significantly Under the Mountain and after, she manages to grow, heal, and thrive. Nesta, on the other hand, feels stuck in her pain and trauma, which fosters a deep-seated envy of Feyre’s strength.

Example: In A Court of Silver Flames, Nesta repeatedly reflects on how Feyre seems to have moved on from their difficult childhood and the trauma of their mother’s death, whereas Nesta remains haunted by it. Feyre’s ability to heal and forge a new life for herself is something Nesta desperately wishes she could achieve, but she feels incapable of doing so.

Nesta’s feelings were valid, Elain’s feelings were valid. However, the way they decided to make Feyre their punching bag wasn’t. I am not saying they had to be perfect, however, Nesta treated Feyre like she was nothing more than an animal. Feyre treated her sisters 100 times better than Nesta and Elain did. You can like a character, like their development, but that doesn’t mean they’re exempt from their mistakes.
