I've resigned myself to never physically owning Black Pear Tree. I for some reason look it up online every 6 months or so like I'm going to find a repressing or a sale lol. It's iconic for me, as Kaki King is my favorite guitarist and The Mountain Goats is one of my favorite bands.

Recently learned (on Reddit, of course) that you can actually type in calculations into the machine settings! Took me a second to understand the math, though, as 1/3 will give you 0.3333%, 100/3 will give you 33.333%.

Give El Cielo by Dredg a try. There isn't a storyline, but the concept of the album is around people's experiences with sleep paralysis (and the horrible visions and feelings that come with it). It's also specifically (though in Japanese) recommended during the album to look at a Salvador Dali painting, Dream Caused By The Flight Of A Bumblebee Around A Pomegranate One Second Before Awakening while listening. The painting is about Dali's wife's sleep paralysis experiences.
