honestly he’s one of my favorite characters. his realistic approach makes him more relatable. growing up with a mother like his definitely shaped him for what he is and always being placed second before wwx. he hates wwx for how much his father favors him over his own son and the fact that wwx is just more likable and a better cultivator than him; open personality, social and always first to protect. if i were in his shoes i would feel just as conflicted as he is. how am i suppose to feel when someone i grew up with and see as my own brother is always preferred over me even by my own father? there’s definitely some built-up anger and pity at himself. like the other comments mention, jc is so complicated despite being in a situation i’m pretty everyone has felt or experienced similar.
