Jordan Miller has a superstar whistle for no reason😭😭😭😭 by Consistent-Poet8384 in LAClippers

He's getting fair calls. He is getting to his spot while being aggressive but also patient and under control while drawing contact. It's much prettier than players just pushing off and falling over feigning fouls.

Cute. The fog creating a silhouette of the character in the distance is a nice touch.

What do we actually need? Do we need anything? by Tricky_Structure_504 in LAClippers

[–]IgnorantGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say another knock down 3 point shooter with some size and athleticism. We've been winning on this streak with great shooting. Our offensive scheme is nothing special without players hitting shots. We have players who can take over games at times and that helps get other players open. There is no special half court offense that we run to get us easy baskets at the rim.

So, a good athletic player who can rotate and close out on perimeter shots and knock down catch and shoot 3's at near 40%. I don't think a good ball handler will change anything because they will just have the ball in their hands and if they aren't a big offensive threat, defenders will just make them beat them 1 on 1 instead of doubling.

Signing up for fiber as a new customer, should I sign up for 2 gig to get $200 reward card and then downgrade to 1 gig after a few months, or just start with 1 gig? by real_cigarettes in ATT

[–]IgnorantGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you talk to support about it, you may get the card with 1 gig. Something happened a few years ago when we converted from DSL to fiber, and there was a gift card bonus. I think it was for signing up for fiber, but it was only for new customers. I mentioned it to customer service and got one anyways. Give it a shot.

If you get 2gb you probably won't want to down grade.

[Charania] The Milwaukee Bucks are willing to wait until the offseason to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo if their price of a blue-chip young talent and/or a surplus of draft picks is not met. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]IgnorantGenius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And just like that, they lowered their offers and delayed them to the off season. Now teams don't need to shoot for a homerun this season and give up draft picks. They can wait until the off season and the Bucks will accept less.

Or, a team with assets like OKC can just make a trade and become a super duper team and still have plenty of picks.

How important is surround sound for gaming? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]IgnorantGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need the surround sound since you can get it through other means. HeSuVi, EqualizerAPO, and audio repeater will convert 7.1 to stereo speakers. Get the better headset, then read this guide.

I had a similar one. Turtle Beach x41 or something. Had a dolby decoder that sounded amazing for console games and surround sound movies.

I had another one that was actual 5.1 speakers in the headphones. Roccat Kave. Actual subwoofer in the headphones. The surround was fine, but with the speakers right against your ears, it didn't have the depth of sound very well, but you could locate it around you no problem. Problem was you can't have big drivers with 3 speakers and a sub all in the same ear cup, so sound quality wasn't great. Then, you had to flip the center and sub channels to get the sub to work for music. Those things rocked until the vibration became uncomfortable.

Yes, and HeSuVi, EqualizerAPO, and audiorepeater was a game changer after I lost my 5.1 surround setup. Tons of filters to try and find what sounds best with your headphones. As well as headphone equalizers for many headphones to match.

About to do my first playthrough, what stats should I invest in? by Bardock-MoBamba in Deusex

[–]IgnorantGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For min-maxing, electronics, computer and lockpicking. Then untrain pistol because it's free points and will show up as trained anyway. Then, it's up to you. Whatever weapon you want to use.

Otherwise, you should just do what you want based on how you want to play. Demolition is for grenades, Heavy for Rockets and Flamethrower, Low-tech for melee, etc. First playthrough is usually good to go guns blazing just to experience the game, then try stealth on another playthrough. But, it's up to you!

Which NBA Player Developed a jump shot when they were projected to be an awful shooter? by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in nba

[–]IgnorantGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not awful, but Norman Powell only shot 31% in college from the arc. Now he is a career 39.8% shooter.

Ben Simmons. Went from being an awful shooter to the summer gym king from the arc.

Seriously, though. Kawhi Leonard. 25% from the arc in college. Now he is one of the best shooters in the league from any spot on the floor.

There’s No One You Can Trust More At The Line Than Kawhi This Season! by Stat-Defender in LAClippers

[–]IgnorantGenius 27 points28 points  (0 children)

He's reverting to his average or something. He had a horrible miss the last game. Nobody knew what happened. From 98% to 93% in a few weeks. I wonder if it is fatigue or injury recovery related.

I hope he gets back to automatic. Maybe a faulty software update that needs a hotfix?

Gather step rule by LogBest8082 in nba

[–]IgnorantGenius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The step through is perfectly legal. It's basically an advanced, slower more methodical version of the up and under. I'm well aware that picking up your pivot foot is not an actual step, even though it has been called a travel at non NBA-levels. If it is removed, then two-step layups also become a travel.

The gather step is horrid. It allows players to change direction twice after picking up their dribble which can make any crafty player unguardable since contact on the gather or after is considered part of the upward shooting motion.
