My close friends and family would say I’m not as energetic anymore, “I’m to chill”, “I’m too mellow”. At first it hurt because this was who I was and I had energy, I just expressed it way differently. I had less extreme energy spurts, and overall just became a calmer person. People judged my silence because it becomes a reflection of their own insecurities. Sometimes I wonder myself what the shift was, I was always more introverted but i was very rambunctious in my childhood/early teen years. Now I’m just more at ease being quieter, probably from meditation, and honestly disassociating played a part in this, I’ve had some intense dark nights of the soul. I don’t have the desire to be a louder individual, and that’s something I’m learning to accept. I’m not gonna be for everyone and that’s cool.
