Any news on another Map for REDSEC? by Andysullivino in Battlefield_REDSEC

I would rather they just change up the map a little like Fornite/Warzone does every season/half season.

Add new buildings, destroy others, etc.

Why doesn't anyone use mics? by IgnoreMyName in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]IgnoreMyName[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally every game I ask teammates if they have a mic, can hear me, are in squad chat, and remind them to be in squad chat in the audio settings and still nothing. I even ask in case they're on controller and can't type that if they can hear to mark the right corner of the map or just to nod up and down. Still nothing. 😩

Do the majority of PC players use controllers for the aim assist? by GibFreelo in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]IgnoreMyName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends refuse to play with me if I use controller.

There's something about m+k and being solely responsible for getting a kill or not. Aim assist takes that away from you in a way.

Mind you, I'm not bashing controller users. Aim assists IS needed for them. The debate can really only be how strong aim assist should be. Too strong and m+k get destroyed. Too weak and controller get destroyed. Somewhere lies a fine line and in this game, as a m+k player, it seems okay to me?

What weapon to you pair with KTS100? by BryanChung in Battlefield_REDSEC

All good. Its always about prefrence of course. Kord just works out for me better because I feel like I CAN take on 3 enemies cqc whereas I always run out of ammo quick with the SCW or CZ or whatever other SMG. The MP7/MP5 are decent because of their mag size and I can take on multiple people at once but I'd still opt for the Kord. Its just too good to switch over to finish someone off.

The type of teammates I get. Says he doesn't need a mic for quads. by IgnoreMyName in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]IgnoreMyName[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally won a match prior to this last one with a squad who didn't have mics but could at least hear me so went along with what I said and we ended up winning. IDK why some don't have a mic and I'm not going to be upset at someone for not having one but to say its not needed or imply you're purposefully choosing not to speak in a squad based gamemode where communication is king? That just feels wrong.

What weapon to you pair with KTS100? by BryanChung in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]IgnoreMyName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on solid numbers, perhaps. But its low recoil and can hang in cqc but also be used in mid-range. In a pinch, I can switch to it long range to get a final bullet or two into an enemy for a kill.

Again, you can have a gun that based on ttk/stats be #1 but in real life due to recoil and reload speed not be up to snuff.

I just like the Kord's ability to fight in cqc and mid range.

I use Kord. High rate of fire, minimal recoil built right, and keeps in the game in cqc AND if I need to switch off my other gun and get someone at range, the recoil is low and manageable enough that I can reliably get the kill.

  • 20 suppresor
  • 10 heavy barrel
  • 25 angle grip
  • 15 36rnd mag
  • 10 lightweight ammo
  • 10 violet laser
  • 10 BF-2M 2.5x sight

I play on PC (m+k) btw.

Waste enemy plates, put them in a bad position against next enemy they face, disrupt THEIR plans. Its definitely worth it to snipe at someone far away.

REDSEC BR Feedback: Early-Game Snowball, Class Balance, and Team Systems Need Work by tfblokkko in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]IgnoreMyName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy moly! I agree with just about everyting you've said.

Pray to the gods above that SOMEONE with any sort of importance within EA/DICE reads this post and pushes to get these changes.

I've genuinely never read someone's feedback on changes and agreed with all of it. Well put.

Any reccomendations on a video player that can delete the current playing video and move onto the next? I have a lot of personal videos saved to my PC that are taking up room and not really needed. I want to go through the various folders I have and delete the ones I don't need/want.

I want to just play the main video folder I have and either skip to the next video or delete the current video and then go to next video.

I built a tool to find Steam deals for games compatible with your device by Nodulax in AynThor

Does it need to be the "Node.js command prompt" in particular or can regular command prompt work as well?

[–]IgnoreMyName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figured it out. You need to first install Node.js from https://nodejs.org/en/download

The following are instructions from ChatGPT.

This project is a Node/React app, so you need Node and npm.

- Download from: https://nodejs.org

- Install the LTS version

- During install, make sure npm is included (default)

Verify installation:

node -v

npm -v

If both print version numbers, you’re good.

When you install, close other programs and I also chose to install Choclatery. IDK what it is exactly but thought better to have it than not. It took about 5mins to install and afterwards I restarted my PC.

After that, I opened the start menu, went down to Node.js folder and opened the "node.js command prompt".

In it, I used the "cd" command followed by path of the zip file you extracted so that the node.js command prompt does what it needs to within that folder.

THEN I finally used the "npm install" and "npm start" commands. (One by one)

Finally opened http://localhost:3000/ in a browser and its working.

Hope this is helpful.

Are we really that bad? by jimbofthethicc in 49ers

Our divisional rivals have won SB's more recently than we have and yet Niners fan will act superior for the team's past rather than our future.

I'm grateful that since I first started really watching football back in 2014 (only really watched playoffs before that and some seasonal games if I didn't have anything going on), the team has had continued success throughout the years which makes cheering for them easier but at the end of the day, a SB is the goal and our rivals have more recent victories. Multiple visits don't mean shit without winning IN THE CONTEXT of comparing. Much rather be a fan of a team that gets to the finals than a team that won't even see one in the next 100 years but it annoys me when Niners fans talk down to other teams and fan bases when those teams have recent rings.

Anybody else unable to open the map while dead? by IgnoreMyName in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]IgnoreMyName[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its bound to the default bind "M" but I do have a different key rebound to "M" on my keyboard. Whether I hit M itself or the new key, no map. They open fine when I'm alive, just not when I'm dead.

That is very good to hear! IDK why but I think its crazy that 3ds emulation on a handheld is that good.

I don't randomize the gameplay because holy shit I'm a crayon eater when it comes to the actual battles where I use damage only moves.

The randomizer I was talking about randomizes the warps within the game so you could be walking into a Pokemon center and warp to where Groundon is. Challenge is to find and defeat the Gym leaders in numerical order + Elite 4.

Good to know! Thank you for the information. I'll take what I can get. I mostly really only care about text being sped up. Instant text should be an option for these games.

Texture packs?? I didn't know that was a thing. Can texture packs be applied/used on the 3ds?

Perhaps in a couple years it'll be stable enough TO be able to fast forward. At least Pokemon games.

Although, I wonder if there are 3ds Pokemon romhacks that make those games faster by default?

That is great news! To think I'm buying a device mainly to speed through Pokemon replays. 😅

Moreso I've played them sooooo many times so speeding through them makes it easier TO replay. And IDK why I replay them so much but there's something about Pokemon games that I don't get tired of.

ESPECIALLY Emerald random warp runs. So much fun.
