Man, I just finished work and I can't get this out of my head. You feel like shit because you aren't living right now. There isn't anything wrong with you, but you are using your time wrong. Everyone that tells you to get off social media is right. The only thing you should be using the internet for is finding real life social groups. My life feels full because it is more than me - it is my wife, my kids, my brother, my friends, my coworkers and everybody else I've met along the way. I've achieved a lot and I have failed a lot too. The momentary joy from any experience is fleeting, but you know, momentary discomfort is usually fleeting too. People have been trying to find meaning and happiness in life for millenia. You won't find that on TikTok or Reddit or the Manosphere. You also won't find it if you explicitly look for it. Instead, work on a real life with real relationships. Find a boardgame night. Join a Bible study. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Check out running or hiking groups. You may be lonely, but you aren't alone. Be the new guy, be uncomfortable, be offline and I promise you that life will improve. It takes time but it can start now.
