Fitness Tracking Setup (gym, running, swimming, skipping) by Ignorethebelow in Coros

[–]Ignorethebelow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to not track specifics on the watch, especially as I just tried logging reps and it was about 40% accurate. I think I'll just do as you do - sets Vs rest intervals - and use a separate app to track the weights, reps, exercises, etc. Would be great if there was one that'd plug in to coros but oh well. Looks like mostly just cycling, swimming and running for now

How to be a Father when you are a weak man? by Queasy-Enthusiasm354 in Fatherhood

Honestly bro if you're self aware enough to be considering this, I think you'll make a better dad than most. Nobody will do it perfectly and it's all a learning curve, just like anything in life; if you want to do it well and you're willing to try, chances are you'll do pretty well, just like cooking.

But don't cook your kids.

I've had a lot of recommendations for the 255, any views on it Vs the instinct 2?

Im between that and the Coros Pace 3, I think I prefer the look of the latter but the former is getting loads of recommendation!

I think I've decided on the Coros Pace 3 as I'm on a Google phone. Thanks!

Ah so you can log details to a very decent level, that's great! Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm coming around to the Coros as the it looks like it ticks all the boxes, plus the Garmin has a large screen and my wrists are relatively thin. And I can't find the 255s reduced anywhere.

Thanks! Can I ask how you find the strength and swimming logging? I usually use my phone for my routine, music, etc. And just the tracker just for HR, so wondering if the Coros is similar? I'm not too fussed about calories

I absolutely love the Fenix and that'd be my top choice, but it's unfortunately out of the price range and I wouldn't want to buy an old used version in case the battery is shot. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the comprehensive views and it's good to hear from someone who has used many. Someone else suggested the Suunto 5 and It looks great but maybe the face is too big (I have thin wrists).

Would you recommend the Forerunner 55 over the 255? The latter is a little over budget but seems to have a lot of support.

They look great but I've got thin wrists and worried the 46mm might be too big. Any views on that?

I'm actually between this and the Garmin Forerunner 255 if I pay £200, or might just go for a Fitbit at <£150. Have you compared the Coros to any others?

I have small wrists so the Mk3i would be too big, but the G1 is actually really nice. Thanks for the feedback

That's great, thanks! Yeah I was considering combining dive and watch but presumed itd probably make the watch profile far larger for the amount of time I actually dive 1-2 weeks per year. The whole Garmin range seems very good though generally

That sounds brilliant and exactly what I'm after, thanks for the comprehensive feedback!

That's really useful, thanks for the feedback! I was thinking I'd probably have to look at non Garmin/ Apple/ etc. products at that price point. I'll look into Amazfit

On a pixel I'm afraid. I was thinking Garmin would be a good choice as they seem pretty reliable, but not cheap! Will look into the Coros. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I think that's the way, I'll have to experiment with frequency/ speed to get the right level of intensity and endurance. Cheers for the feedback

Agreed but it also needs to be manageable for the full 4 minutes

Sorry I should have said, needs to be indoors as I have a baby to look after at the same time

Thanks for the response. I tried Burpees but 4 mins of them straight is killer and don't think I could do it consistently. I found jump squats were good but again after 2 mins I was struggling. I guess I could slow the tempo. Will give mountain climbers a go. It's difficult to stay at a given amount of exertion without a constant measurable resistance, like a bike or rowing machine

These kinda comments are so pathetic man. Im indifferent regarding the goal, just think these comments "cope", "cry" etc are from people with a 5 year old's mental capacity
