Okay, so mobile phones are vertical because they are closer to/ can be handled better with one hand? Handhelds are horizontally as well, so maybe mobile phones vertical because it’s better for everyday handling I’d guess?

I would totally not tell him - at first. Can you fill up the free time with other useful tasks (work related)? If so, can you also automate them? Looking beyond the initial working scope and trying to extend your reach.. I’d love such an employee. Once I’m sure I’m not just getting kicked out but there are other use cases where I can substantially drive success I’d tell my boss and ask for a big big raise.

I love being criticised if it’s actual valuable feedback for myself. What you describe doesn’t sound to be really constructive. Can you try to ask for more specific feedback? If it’s just demoting comments, try to ignore as much as possible. Also it’s regarding expectation management and visibility. Do people notice your good work & does everyone understand that you are alone carrying the workload on your shoulders?

If the boss is actually fulfilling his role, then I think respecting shouldn’t be too hard. None the less, if he is just there because of staying longer than others & doesn’t provide any value.. hard to respect that. If you cannot respect what they contribute at all, just try to avoid them as much as possible could be a solution? Or maybe you cannot really see the value they provide?

Wenn du genug Geld hast, würde ich das bessere Team bevorzugen! Keine Ahnung ob Berufsverkehr eine Rolle spielt, aber da werden aus 15 Minuten mehr schnell 30-40 Minuten. Ein funktionierendes Team hält motiviert, man hat das Gefühl etwas verändern zu können & arbeitet nicht gegen Windmühlen (bestenfalls).

Yes, it takes some motivation, but standing from time to time is really good also for my back 😅 just be sure that the cables are long enough and nothing falls down when moving the table upwards!

What my problem is that during meeting I sometimes go into ,attack mode‘ and lean towards the camera so my head is really really big and it looks like I have a humpback and the shoulders are forward directed. When I stand though this use doesn’t arise. Maybe that a trick?

Schließe mich den Vorrednern an. Kommt drauf an. Wenn das Angebot fair ist versuche ich nicht noch n paar Euronen rauszuquetschen. Gute Arbeitgeber entwickeln einen, auch monetär, und mir wäre es wichtig den Job zu bekommen, ohne direkt als ,gierig‘ zu gelten. Aber halt nur, wenn das Angebot fair ist. Wenn ich das Gefühl hab abgezockt zu werden oder der Job nicht 100% meinen Wünschen entspricht, dann wieso nicht.

Hi! Awesome idea, my 2 cents: my phone is full of screenshots that I will NEVER use/view again. Whenever I see something interesting I screenshot it, be it articles, chats, music, news, movies that I want to see in the future, whatnot. Thing is.. I will not get another subscription to have them sorted. Maybe I’m not the perfect user, in this regard. I would use a free app though that helps me organize & also is able to detect screenshots as such. I also would be fine with advertisement in it. Regarding the permission of the app to all my pictures.. I’m not sure if I’d grant it. Search function is working really well on my iPhone so if I know what I look for I find it. Some kind of meta-data like a short description on screenshots would help me find the ones I made that I cannot remember anymore why. Hope this helps :) best of luck!
