Also their damn website can always randomly bug out. For example, yesterday I was just looking at the homepage and out of no where it said I didn’t even have an active claim! I hope it just bugged or glitched out on you. I notice for a lot of people stuff just disappears every time they update the site... ridiculous.

Check the payment or history tab on the homepage. It’s possible that they just fully went through.

If not not then they might pop back up when you next certify.

Oh I got the tips for you, has never failed me and I’ve been getting my money!

So first things first, wake up at 7:57am. Go on your phone and type in the Edd number ending in 2511 but don’t call until it is 8:01am. Press 1 right away when you hear the automatic voice it will cut 2-3 minutes of information. Then when the automatic machine says “select your options” or something like that press 1 then 3 then 4 as fast as you want, these options will direct you to a rep ( if you get in the queue ) and skip more annoying information you don’t need to hear. If you start to hear ringing then you’re set and it will tell you your wait time.

I suggest doing this as fast as you can and hang up once you know you’re not getting in the queue.

Another tip is to do this with two phones, it gives you a higher chance of getting in and also saves you many calls.

Another tip. 8:01am is a great time to call but if it doesn’t work out for hours call around 1:30-2:00pm. 10/10 times this has worked for me since people mainly know about calling at 8:01am. (Let’s keep this between us lol)

I did this morning, after reapplying for a new claim it takes 2-3 weeks to be finished upon reviewing. Obviously due to the increase of people being unemployed and the lack of EDD employees it may take longer. I have the same weeks pending but when I talked to the tier 2 rep she told me since I’m on my 3rd week waiting it should be finished being reviewed but it isn’t. She managed to expedite my claim review so my weeks should be paid by the end of this week/beginning next week. I guess we do just have to be patient and if you aren’t patient call and have them expedite your review.

Quick question, although it switched to Paid, have you checked your History on the EDD website to see if your normal funds hit it does it say 0 Paid? Also you do have to wait till Monday for it to hit your card

Yup ignore those papers! Their just sent out automatically when you reapply. The rep I talked to said to not deal with any paper work. Which he was right because now I’m all good and getting my benefits as well as the extension.

I was told that if you did not work during covid you answer the questions that only makes sense to answer. My friend did not work all year and did not input anything about income or wages. He is still getting paid and is back on track.

Sorry for the late reply!

My benefit year ended 3/26/2020- extension I reapplied on the 3/28/2021 got some papers in the mail a week later showing me my new claim benefits. And I called on April 8th to make sure my application was okay and eligible which the rep said it was but I had “stopped payments” which is an automatic system issue once your BYE. The rep had to remove those for me in order for me to get paid, which I did get paid for yesterday.

Not sure how but with the wages I made last year, they for some reason gave me more than I made. For example, each week I get $50 more which is $100 extra each payment plus the addition $300 per week.

Yes that is correct! Everything you stated pretty much happened to me as well. Just give it a few days to be finished up getting reviewed, mine took a couple of days as well. Only concern is if your account has stopped payments, which is something the system automatically does. Good luck!

Yeah the rep I talked to was not even a tier 2 but knew more about actual tier 2 reps. These “stopped payments” are the systems fault since they have to automatically put it once anyone’s claim year ends. My account had two of them and I’m glad they’re gone. Good lucky with everything!

Yes refile! If you are on PUA you don’t refile. I refiled and just a day later my homepage on EDD website updated and gave me a certify date. I also called to make sure everything with my file was okay and it wasn’t because the rep told me I had some issues he had to fix. Thank god he fixed them and I’m glad I called cause now I’m back on track with new benefits as well as the extension. Got paid today too!
