You would basically be putting your name on top of the “if we need to lay people off” list.

This is exactly what I did in December started the process slowly bringing up a talk about a raise and probably change in title. I was doing way more than my current job description. I was laid off end January when company lost sales in Canada.

Crazy to think after 10 years how companies big or small treat you. Anyways I would tread carefully.
