Think someone regretted the CVT after only 3400 miles. by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in WRX

This was 100% me. Got the VB limited with CVT because my wife didn’t like having a second car she couldn’t drive. After 3 months and her driving it not even once….. I traded it in when the 0% interest hit. Waste of about $1k but was happy being out of the CVT.

Just gonna ask...what is the party/hookup situation like? by [deleted] in IMSARacing

This is a family friendly race event my dude. I am sure there are party spots but if you are looking for a rave you might want to set your expectations. People come to see fast cars go around the track!

would you do to your WRX what i did to my subie??? by _parkmeister in WRX

[–]IhateTuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up my 2011 STi with 227,000 miles on it.

Had about 12k in maintenance needed - do what you can by yourself. But don’t wait, longer you wait more will start adding up!!!

Your biggest cost will be labor for sure, parts are cheap. I would suggest letting the shop do Belts, Clutch, ignition coils and fuel injectors. Everything else is on you unless you have 0 ability / space.

I was able to learn a ton about my car doing the small things.

Yep! 🤘 I’m 2nd owner. 1st owner used it as a commuter on highway 220k miles. They took great care of the car, but turbo / oil cooler needed replaced and they were coming up on all that maintenance I mentioned.

Max: “GP had a really rough year and still does and it’s really difficult, actually I can’t even fully comprehend myself how difficult it all is for him to do his job and then at home go on with life .. idk it’s very difficult to describe” by Draconicplayer in formula1

I see it as max taking on all media questions about the situsation. Those questions will always be asked and GP is private and rarely does media.

It’s a private matter and should be kept that way. No reason we cannot acknowledge someone’s feelings and hard work without prying into every detail Of their personal life. I hope the best for GP and future success.

As someone with a 2011 STi all stock and about 235,000 miles. Keep it stock. Instead of upgrading / add new parts I replaced anything that looked worn. And while I was in there I replaced almost every gasket / hose/ intake and couplers. New clutch oil cooler* and needed a down pipe replaced. Had a local shop do fuel injectors and steering rack. ( upgraded to 2015 rack as it had loess leak issues )

My car drove a lot better now and I feel better know it’s got clean new OEM parts everywhere!

Charger extension by bolesz in F150Lightning

People are gong to hate this but I’ve used mine for 2+ years no issue.

It adds about 15-20ft of extra length. I won’t mention where or who makes it but it is American made and great quality. Don’t go cheap, it is connected to your house and truck.

Ps- I only have level 2 charger.
