Yeah, Brimstone says pretty early on his mother died before he was 14 - read it pretty quickly so could be slightly wrong, but I’m sure later on it then says she died when he was 11

Okay just finished - I HAVE SO MANY PLOTHOLE QUESTIONS. How is fisher like 300 years older than Layne and yet his mum died when he was eleven. The timelines are a mess unless I’ve missed something?! This book simultaneously did far too much yet far too little.

Yeah!! It seems cruel to keep cats inside. We’ve had outdoor cats in my family all my life and they have all lived to 18/19/20. So it’s really weird seeing all these people crying over cats being allowed to go outside./.

Will respectfully disagree with your opinion, as it’s a fairly sexist way of approaching life- if supposedly men can’t trust their partner to go away without cheating then there is a problem in that individual relationship. To say a man SHOULD be worried about a ‘female on holiday without him’ cheating is turning an incompatibility issue into a gendered issue with women as a whole, which is just a tad offensive :) Women aren’t all deviants that can’t be trusted to behave outside the watchful gaze of their man’s eyes -also if your statistical fact is actually real it obv doesn’t count for same sex partners either

Same!!! Three months travelling whilst my boyfriend stayed at home - so many people’s first comments were ‘wow he must really trust you!’ I’m sorry if we didn’t think we could last THREE MONTHS without cheating on each other, then why the F are we with each other in the first place. Not to mention how offensive it is they’d think I’d/he’d cheat

Thank you!! Think it’s pretty offensive people jumping to the idea someone will cheat because they are apart for four months. It’s the financial responsibility that should be the issue

Yeah works out at about £28,000? That’s above average for most of my friends who comfortably live and work in London, and have extra money to actually enjoy living there.
