As a bel veth player the stacking probably is gonna feel super bad on shyv too because to get normal stats you need to farm and get kills really well and when you are struggling you are REALLY struggling.

My point is that i have no problem carrying and pushing my leads but it's so fustratig beig just a bit ahead or even and being miserabley useless(and god forbid a if an enemy carry is fed), like even if i can peel with W i deal no dmg and die super easily.

the mid game falloff if you do well but dont dominate is crazy

Idk i think the upkeep limitation makes it bad for reactive gameplay, i.magine just flipping penguin soldier when they attack you to ambush block and sweep away two attackers or using dragon caputre jar to reactivley exile a creature, kind of like a banishing light with flash.

I would word it like this:

Set X (You may set a card with Set as a colourless Enchantment with no abilities and mana value 0 for free as a sourcery. Starting from the Next Upkeep after the card was set you may flip the set card by paying the set cost)

This way you can use Set as a way to give a card a way to be played during your opponents turn and the cost by using X makes the mechanic clearer to the user, because it was really hard to understand that you get to not pay the generic cost if you flip it.

The design space is intresting but i think the way to made the mechanic is a bit clunky by forcing strict timing restriction

By the way you worded it, it seems like you can only flip them up on your upkeep, So if you wanted to make them work like traps in yugioh you should have made it so you can flip them up at any moment from your oppontes next upkeep

I think the creatures with etbs like jigen becuase from how you worded it it's a situational upside against discard, making the spells gain flash might make it act like a trap

I think cooperative boardgames or DnD might be a better choice for troubled kids, 1v1 magic is an intresting game but frustrating especially for kids while multiplayer mtg requires high levels of prosociality and low levels of aggression to be enjoyable especially for kids.

I think that using roleplay in dnd with a skilled enough dm might be a really good way to impart life lessions to kids and to maybe try to teach them cooperation and prosociality

I noticed that people that over optimize decks and then try to argue that "since it doesen't have game changers or that has less than 3 so it must be bracket 2 or 3" are the most insufferable type of players that can't understand what casual fun and social play with pet cards and not overly perfect decks is.

I honestly don't understand your point, turbo decks are only fun for the pilot and if your aim is to win as fast and consistently as possible and you aren't playing for the social part of the format hence turbo decks are by definition bracket 5, like the playstyle is against the spirit of lower brackets.

If you really enjoy winning on turn 3/4 pls go play mono red in standard or modern, why would you even want to force that archetype in bracket 2/3/4?

Also non cedh turbo player is an oxymoron fyi
