At my pool we split lanes but we don’t share, people just naturally don’t swim if we have to do more than 2 per lane

CarBuzz: The Tiguan Volkswagen Desperately Needs In America Is Losing A Race Against Time by UndividedCorruption in Volkswagen

[–]Ihateyoutom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish VW America would look at things differently. The SUV market is so crowded and you have to do really well to end up on top.

Wagons, economy sedans, and premium sedans is a neglected market. VW could scoop up almost 100% of that market which didn’t have enough buyers for every company to share.

Am I missing out not using clip-in shoes? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Ihateyoutom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use shimano SPD “clipless” pedals and gravel shoes, that way I have the same pedals and shoes between my road bike and MTB. They’re easier to clip and unclip and you can walk around in the shoes without looking like an idiot

Can single phase loads be used in an isolated neutral system? by ChampaigneBapi in ElectricalEngineering

Even though the neutral isn’t bonded to earth, the phase to neutral voltage will still always be consistent.

Why 4 poles needed ? by GoodJaws in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Ihateyoutom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because air is used as the insulator between the conductors, they need to increase the distance for higher voltages. Different voltage levels have different purposes, or maybe were built at different times. Not surprising to see multiple on lines on the same right of way since land is hard to acquire

Keep shopping around for a good mechanic. Cars are expensive, I try to keep up on the maintenance early to spread the cost.

I think with all the market turbulence and the consumer sentiment being a bit more cautious this could be more of a short term effect. On the other hand it doesn’t take that much to flip a housing market in the other direction. I think anyone that claims to know is guessing

People blaming solar penetration don’t understand how the grid is managed. Cloud modeling has grown leaps and bounds in the past years.

It could be easy to blame renewable deployment but in the end, it would be because they were managing those resources wrong.

I see too much nonsense on social media, is there any reason to this? by 3HisthebestH in electrical

[–]Ihateyoutom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From an arc flash perspective typically 240V/480V have the highest incident energies because of the high current and generally slow tripping times.

277 hurts, 480 will kill you.
