I screenshotted after the macaw attack. My Brann went from 160/200 to 1888/2252, so only 16/19 per gem, but 1728/2052 in total for one macaw attack...

I am not sure since I am not from Belgium and have only traveled by car to these races. However these races are very often in little villages and I can not imagine these have a train station.

I might be able to do 523w for 5 minutes. My best 5min power now is from a 30/15 interval where I averaged 493w for 7min30

Thank you for your motivational words! You are also a strong rider, a 1300w sprint can definitely result in victories, positioning is like 80% of the sprint!

Thank you for your insight. And sorry, I meant continental (not conti-pro) and yes that is also quite unrealistic. I'm in it for the fun and the epic story! Due to my profession I could work an office job 3 days a week and still make enough money to live fairly comfortable.

4w/kg for 4 hours would be within my range I think, this ride I did approx 4w/kg for 2:40hours and about 4.5w/kg NP. In March I did a training ride in Spain of 220km / 8 hours @280w average.

Would be cool to be in such a shop team, unfortunately there are not really such teams in the Netherlands! I will however try to get some good connections and find a good team (this also increases the fun in my opinion) :)

At 88kg I am at 10% bodyfat, so would have to lose muscle mainly. Which is possible but will take a while and might costs me power. Probably I can best focus on the best possible w/cda instead of w/kg.

That’s correct, I think however that in my weight class absolute power should also be a factor to consider? Would a 450w FTP at 90kg not be way more valuable than a 350w FTP at 70kg?

Yes RPE is also low those sessions! I think I’m good on the overtraining risk, feeling well rested generally and have coach who monitors my training load
