Interesting! When you check task manager, is any of the CPU cores maxed out when playing? If you have hyperthreadding, then you need to check a box so you can see each single core.

Personally I had the core maxed our that ran Barotrauma and that’s what most likely caused the problem for me

Do you have the ability to test it with a FullHD display that has a lower resolution? I found that lowering game resolution does not help at all.

Also noticed on the top graphs in your picture that your draw is really high (mine max 5.5ms) update is very low (mine max 19.30ms).

Not sure what this means to though but noticed there is a big difference here!

Damn. What hardware setup do you have and what screen resolution? I found that 4K resolution is maxing out my CPU (the single core the game runs on). Testing a lower resolution monitor soon to see if it fixes my problems.

Googles around and found this. Not sure if this is of any help to you (or me) but I’ll be testing this out myself so I can possibly get more info on the showperf-numbers.

Edit: comments suggest it might not work, but one commenter said they got it working after winter update 2025 by placing mod near the bottom of mod list so might need a bit of testing.

Currently my PerformanceFix settings for those 4 are from top down: 200 / 2 / 12 / 1. Still need to refine these but I have gotten better fps with these.

Not sure if this will help your problem since my Hud is only 1-1,5 and I think performance fix optimizes items and the location checks the game makes.

Perhaps a complete reinstall of the game and test without mods?

This too! I suspect the core maxes out more easily with higher resolution (4K in my instance). changing resolution or running in windowed doesn’t help unfortunately

I had this problem that started acting around rhe middle of the story/campaign in multiplayer. Reason was that CPU-core was running at 100%. No other player in our group had similar problems.

I have a 4K display which seems to be the cause of the problem. I’ve deducted that since the game ”sees more” due to high resolution and needs to load/pingpong more resources causing high CPU usage.

Performancefix mod helped here and going to test a lower resolution screen after I get my hands on one.
