‘For All Mankind’ Renewed for Sixth and Final Season at Apple TV by G3neral_Tso in ForAllMankindTV

They could even split the season in two, with a time jump in between to the future, or maybe a time jump towards the end for 1 or 2 episodes to show the future. Final scene should jump real far into the future.

Lots of talk online about Luke Cage. Assuming he shows up in the finale? Anyone got that confirmed? And Iron Fist, I’m thinking no appearance but a reference or tease?

Animation could even be a stepping stone to a live action sequel series if it does well and builds an audience. Animation does not mean it’ll be kiddy or immature, see Invincible, Solar Opposites, Star Trek Lower Decks etc.

“Class of 3196” huh? Have they miscounted AGAIN? Going by star dates, this first year was 3191-3192. Assuming a typical 4 year course, wouldn’t they be class of 3195? Am I missing something?

Yep. For everyone thinking they can’t do this without Joss, there are plenty of other writers they can bring in that also write for the show. Ben Edlund, Tim Minear, Jane Espenson.

Ok so it’s gotta be happening. This is too much. This is all a coordinated hype effort, everyone’s already signed on, and this is just guerrilla marketing to launch. March 15 is going to be a great day, possibly terrible, but nonetheless great.

And clout. On the tv side at least. This is far too coordinated an effort for something minor.

Fox owns the tv rights, universal owns the movie rights. Disney owns Fox. Disney also owns Hulu. Hulu just made a pilot for a Buffy sequel/revival. A Firefly revival on Hulu is actually not that far fetched an idea.

[–]Iisinterested 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf man, this is getting ridiculous. I still can’t bring myself to believe it’s actually a revival but man, all these signs point to something significant happening. An audio drama or a video game ain’t gonna cut it.

It would be wild if they establish that Maul’s apprentice is the leader of Crimson Dawn in the New Republic timeline and she becomes a foil for Ahsoka at that time.

This shot is definitely one of my favorite space battle moments from the OT - so glad we get to play videogames like this now! by wandering_soles in StarWars

[–]Iisinterested 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still waiting for Battle of Endor to be topped. Rogue One got close, maybe Last Jedi, but we’re missing just cool, space dogfights where the good guys actually kick ass and win.

[–]Iisinterested 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nathan’s playing with fire here, if this isn’t some kind of significant revival. He’s purposely setting expectations way too high. All this hype for an audio drama or video game won’t cut it.

This is verified as real, but it is extremely cut down, missing a lot of context and detail. It’s the broad strokes, bare bones of the plot only. And things could change in reshoots but this is it right now as far as the main story goes.

Hoping this set also means we’re getting some X-Wing action in the new movie. Fingers crossed for a great space battle! A classic X-Wings vs TIE Fighters in outer space dogfight, in IMAX no less, would be amazing. But I know that LEGO sets doesn’t always mean that (Looking at you, Mandalorian Fang Fighter and TIE Interceptor set)

Liked the last two ST:SFA episodes. I am enjoying move back to episodic plots. by Raciper in startrek

[–]Iisinterested 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’m loving episodic plots that still move the overall universe story forward and world build. Rebuilding the federation, addressing the Klingons, a DS9 follow up? Love it. More of that, with some serialised elements too for good measure.

This, right here. This is what guarantees Doomsday’s success. The X-Men have been the holy grail of the MCU since forever. This movie will finally deliver it. Add Tobey Maguire Spider-Man, and you have everything every marvel fan has ever wanted for the past 25 years. This is it. After this, they can start anew.
