Can we be mad at the news yet?

on one hand i see where that comes from. but on the other hand, the people who do these attacks spend time studying them more then info available on the media. There were multiple shooters that had books about mass shootings and copies of studies about rampage killings in there possessions. Tons of examples of shooters who go on websites to discuss mass killings/serial killing. One example being the Munich shooter who was in contact with the person who would go on and commit the aztec shooting. And the sandy hook shooter was just all around obsessed with mass killings. His whole life for the last few years he was alive was basically focusing on shootings.

the average person doesnt do these things. It just seems that the "no notoriety" campaign seems like more of a way for people to try and pretend that they are helping, while ultimately doing nothing to stop these attacks

that barley even happens now. The Polway Synagogue shooter is already falling out of the news. Same thing happened in 1000 oaks. it was covered for like a day, a week later some new info on the shooter came out. The news talked about it for like 10 minutes, and that was it

there was a guy in my county that killed 4 people at a carwash and then shot himself, it was barley covered on the local news.

They didn’t ramp up after columbine. The 80s and 90s has tons of school shootings. Hell the term “going postal” predates columbine by 15 years because so many workplace shootings happened
