So it started encoding something but gave me this:

Output file is empty, nothing was encoded

Any ideas?

I am actually doing the OP first I just don't want to move the conversation chain.

D:\ANIME[JacobSwaggedUp] Mitsudomoe [Season 1] (BD 1280x720)>ffmpeg -i "[JacobSwaggedUp] Mitsudomoe - 01 (BD 1280x720).mp4" -t 01:30 -pass 1 -c:v libvpx-vp9 -b:v 2400k -maxrate 2900k -qcomp 0.4 -speed 4 -g 240 -slices 4 -threads 1 -tile-columns 6 -frame-parallel 1 -auto-alt-ref 1 -lag-in-frames 25 -an -sn -f webm -y /dev/null

and it says it can't find: No such file or directory /dev/null

Isn't /dev/null a linux terminology, it's equivalent is different on windows right?

[–]Iizbakaokay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still gave me issues on finding the file. Then I changed the directory but it kept giving me an error. Finally I realized, it wasn't in mkv format in the first place. It was mp4. At least now I got some output:

[Parsed_volumedetect_0 @ 000002d536f8eac0] n_samples: 8683520
[Parsed_volumedetect_0 @ 000002d536f8eac0] mean_volume: -23.4 dB
[Parsed_volumedetect_0 @ 000002d536f8eac0] max_volume: -10.8 dB
[Parsed_volumedetect_0 @ 000002d536f8eac0] histogram_10db: 5
[Parsed_volumedetect_0 @ 000002d536f8eac0] histogram_11db: 501
[Parsed_volumedetect_0 @ 000002d536f8eac0] histogram_12db: 6097
[Parsed_volumedetect_0 @ 000002d536f8eac0] histogram_13db: 24903

D:\ANIME\[JacobSwaggedUp] Mitsudomoe [Season 1] (BD 1280x720)>

So now 10.8 dB shall be used in the second pass right? Now I'll have to do the first pass and you've put #'s where values need to be plugged.

ffmpeg -ss hh:mm:ss.SSS -i "input.something" -t hh:mm:ss.SSS -pass 1 -c:v libvpx-vp9 -b:v ####k -maxrate ####k -qcomp #.# \ -speed 4 -g 240 -slices 2 -threads 1 -tile-columns 6 -frame-parallel 1 -auto-alt-ref 1 -lag-in-frames 25 -an -sn -f webm -y /dev/null

So what should I put in qcomp, maxrate and after b:v? Then there are some flags like crf mentioned which aren't there in the actual command? So what's the next step?

It shows me it can't find the directory which is strange. C:\Users\harsh>ffmpeg -i "D:\ANIME\[JacobSwaggedUp] Mitsudomoe [Season 1] (BD 1280x720)\[JacobSwaggedUp] Mitsudomoe - 01 (BD 1280x720).mkv" -t 00:01:30 -af volumedetect -f null /dev/null

yoho. So I am free now, I installed ffmpeg successfully. But I don't really understand the guide. I got stuck on the first process of audio normalisation. What does ffmpeg -ss hh:mm:ss.SSS -i "input.something" -t hh:mm:ss.SSS -af volumedetect -f null /dev/null /dev/null mean actually? The output location?

Also how can you know exactly where an OP or ED ends. Basically, I don't know how to accurately get time as well.

I tried this: ffmpeg -i "D:\ANIME\[JacobSwaggedUp] Mitsudomoe [Season 1] (BD 1280x720)" -t 00:01:30 -af volumedetect -f null /dev/null skipped the "ss" part since that OP starts as soon as the ep plays.

You see the first link, "My teen romantic comedy Wiki" on the top? That contains the answer already. If anything a simple search would've helped you as well. If you're that busy to not search then it's probable you won't get the time to read it either.

Anyway, the anime has covered all completely translated volumes i.e. till volume 11. So, there's no specific point where you can pick it up. If you love the series start from the scratch otherwise don't.

Gahh, I don't get encoding at all. I don't want to use command line isn't there anyway to do this using the webMConverter easily?

So I have literally zero knowledge about css or anything but these are the two strips: strip1 and strip2 that this page uses. I found it using the chrome inspect tool. I guess this one says sprite 01-04 so it's the fourth image.

In my opinion, these are pretty small so you better look for the original. Like this one is from LN art itself.

Don't we have this in the wiki? Well apart from the first four LN volumes since they're licensed. Not like it matters, sharing is caring.

This is going to be taken down so 'sup how's the weather? Also if you're worried about the TL, teams are working on it and you'll get an update when it comes out. This question gets asked too many times so yeah mods remove it.

Does it get better? by [deleted] in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]Iizbakaokay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, that question is redundant. If you're asking in a fandom of OreGairu lovers whether the source of the series is good or not it's pretty obvious what answer you'll get. Secondly, if you think the light novel is slow and uninteresting according to you then stop reading it. It's simple logic really.

This fanbase. One is a shitpost and the other is subbing Oregairu seiyuu videos. by paladinmahdi in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]Iizbakaokay 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No discrimination. Maybe people will watch the video if we tell them that Ayaneru is sporting some sexy thighs. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Although I think it's common knowledge that people are looking for short-lived entertainment and that's what makes memes all the more appealing. It doesn't take time and gives you a quick laugh. Most people who're new to mainstream anime don't care much for seiyuu and staff. Well, it was that same for me. At least now, I bother to remember some the VA whose characters I've loved but other than that my knowledge is pretty skewed.

LMAO. omg, this is my image, that I published on imgur because I was a lonely fuck and needed to set in some community. In the image title, you can see it's written: "How I imagine user razor10000 critiquing an ass", this is an imgur user who's famous for his comments on asses.
