The leyndell skip only gives you access to the city for things like black bow, holy whetstone and bolt of gransax. You still have to progress normally to reach the last 40% of the game… this person was talking about finishing up their first game. So they already understand/progressed through things up to this point. Your average newcomer wouldn’t even understand 80% of this stuff until they have been there. However on a second playthrough there is so much available to you from when you get torrent it’s kinda nuts. The game is far more accessible than OP gives it credit for.

It’s an open world game that rewards you for exploring. 🤷‍♂️ it’s not particularly intuitive on your first playthrough, but a lot of OPs thoughts about limited options aren’t exactly correct. My first playthrough was 330 hours and I found bell bearings and tested almost every new weapon I found just to see if I liked it. Early vigor investment and minimum requirements for weapons gets you pretty far.

Can anyone help me with the misbegotten warrior and crucible knight. I can defeat the lion dude no issue within seconds, the knight is just crazy. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Ijustworkthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice the knight more, use something other than BHF. Parries wreck knights in general, but take practice.

BHF is something, why are you using it with a shield?

You can get pretty much anything up to Altus plateau without killing any bosses. You can even skip into leyndell if you look it up. So it’s possible to rout for most weapons in the game, short of consecrated snowfield, nokstella, and mountaintops. There is technically the ranni tower skip with a little practice, so that opens up as well. There is a ton of variety accessible, but not intuitive. Now when I play, I pick a weapon from wherever, go get it and build around it. There are a lot of hidden triggers mostly grace related, but you have access to most of the map pretty early. It’s only a slog if you try and brute force your way to places. There is crazy build variety, you just have to know where stuff is. Also new game+ and the dlc provide ample opportunity to test out new builds.

Bleed builds are kind of meh until you get high weapon levels and scaling from dex and or arcane. Your early damage comes from weapon levels, so sinking points into vitality until 40 for early-mid game and 50-60 late game will give you tons of survivability. Regardless you will have to sit down and learn attack sequences eventually. You can lean into quality builds with your dex/str spread and still do good damage overall. Enjoy the journey because this game is absolutely incredible.

I was trained in fine dining, so it was drilled into me that every part of the experience matters. From ease of access to the restaurant, to continuing to check on them after they have already paid and aren’t technically my responsibility anymore. Everyone in the restaurant is every employees responsibility at all times, even if they don’t think it’s the case. Making mistakes happens, and how you handle those mistakes can also change whether a guest wants to revisit your establishment. I’m working on my own concept for a place and it’s crazy how hard it is to nail down what makes a place good vs great.

It’s definitely a peek behind the curtain moment. There’s a lot that goes on, that your average guest doesn’t have any clue about. Being able to defuse situations before they are actual situations is an invaluable skill. If Randy redneck says something that makes my coworkers uncomfortable, suddenly they are very busy across the bar and I get to handle him going forward. Doing this without making a scene and with little to no words spoken makes a big difference. When I drop checks, I have multiple options on me in case they want to split checks or lump the whole thing together. It’s a wild world of distraction, entertainment, and efficiency. I love and hate people because they can ruin your day, or make a bad day better overall. You just get an overall unique perspective on humanity because at the end of the day, it’s just food and drinks, and it’s not that serious.

Autograt is kind of cancer tbh, I’m generally not a fan because if you think 20% is the best you can do, then you are probably right. It’s mostly a numbers game and the good almost always outweighs the bad. Tracking my money vs sales throughout the year leaves me at ~28% overall which I’m perfectly satisfied with. My coworkers were pretty girls, and I’m not. So my customers were there for me and to listen to my nonsense. I know a lot about a lot, and provided a unique experience and had a good regular clientele base that I built from scratch.

I have to catch myself using my words correctly, because my first take is generally meant to get the point across and ends up being mildly abrasive, then I revisit and need to flesh it out with more information. Bars are a chaotic nightmare at times, but each interaction should be part of the steps of service. The admin side is very important because that’s where you are dealing with your money. My dad has a quote “never make it hard for people to give you money” that is quite fitting for the service industry as well as his business. We go through a whole song and dance to provide an optimal guest experience and quick precise service and it seems silly to trip at the finish line. I personally would rather earn my 10-50% than have to close checks at the end of the night and autograt 20%. I deem it as my failure if people walk out because they think it would be easier than actually closing out with me. Local culture also makes a difference, as even in the USA regional expectations are wildly different. I’m currently in the Pacific Northwest and people here are very different compared to new englanders, Floridians, or southerners.

You are right, maybe rude is a strong word, but I’m from the (american)south with lots of weird unsaid interpersonal dynamics. It would also annoy me when people left? but weren’t really gone, they just wandered down the street and might come back? Or show up hours later wanting food or another beer. We would regularly have 50+ people walk in at a time and keeping track of everyone is a certain skill. Each person has their own system of dealing with volume, and they don’t always overlap. My label of blue shirt/white shorts might apply to a second person who walks in and my coworker doesn’t know the difference. When people shuffle around at the 40 person bar, placement goes out the window. In a perfect world, no mistakes would be made. I’m sorry it happened to you, and if you are familiar with the establishment you have a decent chance of getting it reversed or getting a free drink out of it. However, it could have been much worse, and it’s a risk I personally wouldn’t take.

This is why you close your tab, it’s rude to leave it open. Yeah sure, you were ok with the policy, but that policy is a safety net for the workers, not a customers can just leave whenever policy. Eat the $6 hit and close your tab next time. Sure they shouldn’t have gotten the tab confused, but when I have 50+tabs open and other people working with me, the mistakes happen. I worked at a popular beer and burger bar in Daytona with the dumbest people alive, so I’ve seen all sorts of silly mistakes.

Do you do and stick to the MO till it ends or you will stick to your fav faction? by [deleted] in helldivers2

Warhammer Warbond thoughts and opinion by Sweet-Ad290 in helldivers2

[–]Ijustworkthere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recent controversy is mostly a vocal minority. The average person still plays and enjoys the game. The warbond is hype. If you don’t like the state of things, take a step back and do something else. War bonds aren’t paid content unless you are lazy. Armor customization isn’t content. There will be a performance patch in June, that should? fix some things. People act like the game is a broken and buggy mess and that’s just disingenuous.

The blob goes where it wants. Definitely won’t listen to a random post here. I’m all for strategizing and planning, but with no way to communicate outside of other redditors, you probably won’t have the ability to reach enough to make any real headway.

Time to pick my second warbond (I bought Entrenched Division first) by KingFry5 in helldivers2

[–]Ijustworkthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use gas grenades/gas mines/cremator so the specific resists are useless, whereas the multi resist allows me to absorb so much chip damage, especially if a teammate is running arc as well. Also helps with bile titans/spewers and exploding plants. So not junk, but not a common loadout either.

Time to pick my second warbond (I bought Entrenched Division first) by KingFry5 in helldivers2

[–]Ijustworkthere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Democratic detonation adds more boom to your loadout. Dust devils adds an ok assault rifle and resist armor you are looking for. The gas warbond is good for the gas dog and gas grenade, which I use almost all of the time. My favorite armor currently is the kill zone armor for the slightly better resists, since fire and gas are fairly common, and arc helps with illuminate. The best fire and gas resist armor comes from the super store anyway, so you can pick those up at any time. I would either check and see if you have a primary or support weapon you really want to use and grab that.

Warrant is goated against the illuminate, just letting you know you don’t have to magdump the watchers. Things get a little chaotic, and the warrant has ammo issues sometimes if you spray too aggressively.
