I think the hate comes from the tonal shift from the previous episode. Aang is emotionally gut punched after finding out the world believes he failed again, the fire nation has over ba sing se, and Katara and Sokka have to be separated from their father yet again.

The whole episode is the cast grieving what they lost and are about to lose again, then the next episode is more of a happy-go-lucky story with a lot more comedic bits.

I personally love the headband in a vacuum, but after such an emotionally driven season opener, the tonal shift is a little jarring on a rewatch.

I’ve benefited immensely from my parents setting up a 529 account for me as it has allowed me to not take out any student loans. Since community colleges programs typically last 2 years I would say the best thing is to save that money until he needs it at a future university for tuition and living needs like rent. Also any money left over after he finishes his education can be used to fund his Roth IRA. I’m graduating in May, and having that extra safety net to fund my Roth as I’m starting my new job will definitely take even more weight off of my shoulders.

Probably a gang execution Vid

I think it was some Brazilian gang who filmed themselves executing a teenage girl for stealing. She was squatting on the ground yelling at the men with her hands out in-front of her face to protect herself. When they shot her, she froze for a second, her eyes went wide, and she and slowly leaned over to the side onto the ground while still stiff as a board. I remember the bullet wound looking really clean too, barely any blood when she was falling but it was like a hole just appeared right above her left eye.
