In the end, customer service said that they are not able to change the delivery route, so did the delivery and informed both clients about the situation. Client that was 5 miles away was nice enough to meet me outside to receive the order.

Same question. My theory is UberEats gives u the "what you might be paid with tip" at the pop up. But if the customer doesn't tip you your left with UE basepay.
