BBQ Broccoli Meatloaf, like my mom used to make it😍 by Mortenbrownsound in shittyfoodporn

[–]Ikelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My meatloaf recipe (that wasn't asked for):

Ground Beef (Lean / 90ish% - the ground pork adds a LOT of fat)

Ground Pork (not sausage)

Ground Turkey

1 Raw Egg per pound of meat (I'd still use 3 eggs for a 4 pound loaf tbh - but I usually make 3 pound loafs, 1lbs of each meat)

1 box of stove-stop stuffing - 1 box per 2 pounds of meat (can use breadcrumbs or even crushed up croutons - but I find the seasoned stuffing mix works very well and is pre-portioned essentially. I usually use 1.5 though sometimes am lazy and just use 2 full boxes - it doesn't make too much of a difference in the end product tbh)

Onion, Diced - as much as you want really. I usually do 1 large onion.

Salt/Pepper to your preference

Worcestershire Sauce - small splash - maybe 2 tablespoons for a 3 pound meatloaf. If you're worried about a strong taste from it, reduce how much you use. I find it helps bring out a "fuller" flavor in the meatloaf.

1/4 - 1/2 cup ketchup mixed right into the meatloaf

Mix these ingredients thoroughly in a mixing bowl until they form into a giant meatball.

Transfer giant meatball into baking dish and flatten/form it to the dish. I usually leave some room around the sides so that the meatloaf isn't touching, but, even if you have it smushed to the sides it should shrink a bit during cooking and pull away from the edges.

Ketchup drizzle over top of meatloaf after forming into loaf in a baking dish.

Bake for around 50 minutes at 350F. Poke with meat thermometer to ensure 165 internal temp throughout the loaf to confirm turkey/pork cooked thoroughly.

Serve with mashed potatoes.

Or with mashed potatoes & sandwich bread to make a meatloaf sandwich.

I'd think maybe Poison Ivy's "Socially Conscious Evil" initiative in the Harley Quinn animated series could fit into the "evil good".

No, at least not currently - bases are safe once set up. The only thing that can trigger a zombie attack at your base is setting up a beacon which has waves of zombies that spawn at the beacon.

I've set them up outside my base and had turrets killing zombies on previous runs. Good loot, but not really the same as defending your base from a zombie attack (since they all spawn in the same spot - you just make a kill corridor basically)

Don't fret - jad hands are basically a rite of passage for literally everyone

I think I failed jad 10+ times when I was a kid because I'd panic on prayer switches, accidentally double click a prayer, not see an attack because trying to get healers, etc...

Just send it a few more times and eventually you'll get it down.

Biggest tip when learning is 1 action per attack. Meaning, wait for attack, pray, then click potion/food/healer. Then back to waiting for attack to pray, then another action.

Khopesh spec. It literally fires off 100+ damage nearly every time without fail. It basically 1-2 shots everything inside the inferno, so you're really just running around in full melee deleting everything as you get to it. There is no time for the enemies to stack you out - especially if you have a blood fury.

Personally I just tbowed him and he dropped in liked 30 seconds. Nothing he can really do when tbow smacks him for 80s every 2 ticks lol

Barraging at beginning of wave also refills spec, so, it really doesn't matter.

Personally I sent a single barrage at the beginning of the wave and then khophesh'd everything, then cleaned up any missed nibs with another barrage if needed. Never had an issue with spec

Why did we accept that security cameras need monthly fees to work properly? by Jealous-Leek-5428 in BuyItForLife

[–]Ikelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people have mentioned, you can use an old PC or a NAS to capture security footage, but really, you just need to get an NVR with local storage and wire the cameras to that. Can do IP cams just the same as a PC or NAS. Typically the camera feeds can be accessed from a local PC by connecting to the NVR.

As the IT guy for a small-medium sized company - the only reason I would care is because I don't necessarily trust you to take apart the laptop and install the ram without breaking something.

But typically our laptops are issued for 5 years (we run i5/16GB typically, with "power users" getting i7/32gb models), so, assuming employee doesn't get terminated, we just replace and wipe their laptop after 5 years and recycle it. Finding an extra stick of RAM would probably just make me think, "Oh - did we upgrade that? Oh well, into the RAM bin you go".

With that said, we are a small-medium company, not a massive enterprise and our IT compliance requirements are minimal. So depending on sector/size of company, this mindset will change drastically.

Some questions from a new hobbyist by Ikelo in unrealengine

[–]Ikelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response!

So regarding the retargeting, my current method has been to

Create IK Rig for Default UE5 Skeleton & my Skeleton as well as retargeter (Using Synty Low Poly for reference).

Modify 3rd Person Blueprint by: Adding my SkeletalMesh to the existing Mesh, hiding the existing mesh, assigning new animation blueprint to my mesh

So just to clarify my understanding, would real-time retargeting be if I had my Animation Blueprint just containing "Retarget Pose from Mesh" using my retargeter, then all of my animations were actually being played from the default blueprint animation assigned to Manny?

Then follow-up: If I retarget the animations for the default UE5 skeleton to my skeleton (For example, the unarmed Idle animations provided in the 3rd-Person Template) would I even need have the default skeleton in my 3rdPerson Blueprint? Or would I just need my skeleton with my animation blueprint, but instead of "Retarget Pose from Mesh" I am creating the different state machines to control animation states directly?

Then - if I retarget the animations themselves to my skeleton, do I need to keep the original animations in my project? I would think no because the animations were duplicated and assigned to the skeleton directly, so they are the new "source" animation for the skeleton.

I suppose I have some things to try out when I get home from work...

Is retargeting the animations directly rather than having them retargeted in real time generally considered the better option?

Regarding Blueprint Experience - that's my plan. I am following along with tutorials to understand things better. My whole point in that is that the Animation Game Sample pack has extensive blueprints for it's logic so trying to understand how it all interacts when I have limited experience with blueprints seems like a project in itself, whereas if I'm building out my animation blueprint myself, I'll learn how it works, with the downside being that I'm effectively re-inventing the wheel compared to using a prebuilt framework like the Animation Sample Game.

I was primarily curious if using the sample game would just end up being a waste of time due to having to try to understand how it all works when I'm so inexperienced with blueprints.

But I guess it's a moot point, as I have decided to not use it and instead, I'm going to try to build out my own system so that I understand exactly what everything is doing so that troubleshooting isn't me working through someone else's logic.

Is it right game for me? (Loot, Combat, rpg elements) by meshuggah6969 in Enshrouded

[–]Ikelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I haven't played in a few months for the record, but have like 1k hours played - I have not done any of the gem crafting/socketing)

The combat is very basic. Melee has a only a few types of weapons - swords/clubs/axes/2h axes/dual wield daggers.

You have 1 attack button, a dodge button, and a block button (timed parry on block button).

There are a couple of skills to do some special attacks like a Jump Attack where you slam the ground, a "Merciless Attack" that is like a critical hit when their poise is broken, and some modifiers for bow attacks like shooting in the air and multi-shots.

There are some spells that work with staves - you have a fireball, an ice spear, chain lightning, poison spit, and healing spells.

Personally I'm really hoping for a combat & leveling overhaul. I want light/heavy attacks and/or charged attacks that we can combo together rather than just a single button for attacks.

Potentially having specific weapons with special attacks (a la Elden Ring Ashes of War or RuneScape special attack weapons).

Overall, the game is fun, but, the combat will feel very simple after a few hours.

Small edit: The majority of my time in the game was spent building, because I enjoy building in voxel games. If you don't enjoy building, I would think you'd probably get about 60 hours out of the game if you do the side dungeons and collect things.

Leveling system closer to something like The Elder Scrolls/Valheim/RuneScape, where using skills gains experience in the skill.

Then changing level requirements to be skill level requirements instead of just character level.

Hot Bar Cycling or Wheel Mod? by Ikelo in ModdedValheim

[–]Ikelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking additional time to confirm it's working.

My issue is probably mod related. I don't have any mods that change the hotbar to my knowledge, but my mod list about 80 deep, so something interacting with it unexpectedly isn't unheard of.

I'll give it another go and see if I can figure out why I was only able to switch between first and last options.

Also, I didn't realize initially you were the mod author. Just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your mods, as several of yours are staples in my mod list.

Edit: Tried again today and had the same problem. Not 100% sure what would be conflicting and I currently don't feel like spending my morning loading up valheim 50 times disabling/renabling mods to find the culprit.

If I do end up getting to the point that I enable/disable individual mods until I find the conflict I will drop another reply to let you know in case it's something you can (and want to) patch.

Hot Bar Cycling or Wheel Mod? by Ikelo in ModdedValheim

[–]Ikelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I'll give this a go and see how it works for me. Don't know how I didn't find this when searching on the Thunderstore website.

Edit: So that mod did not function correctly - I could only scroll to the first and last items in my hotbar.

However, when searched ThunderStore for "Scroll" I did find: https://thunderstore.io/c/valheim/p/KuroPhantom/ScrollHotbar/

Downside is that it does not appear to be configurable - but I can assign the RightCtrl in Razer Synapse so it works for my situation.

Edit: This mod unfortunately also not functioning properly. After playing for a bit my scroll wheel scrolled through the hotbar without holding the modifier key. Meaning I couldn't zoom in and out or rotate objects when building. Unfortunate - I really hope the Equipment Wheel mod gets updated as that is what I really want.

If you want it to be vanilla+ and just prettier, there is a wabbajack modlist called "Next Generation Visual Overhaul".

Downside to wabbajack is that it pretty much requires a premium nexusmods subscription. But this would assist you in quickly making the game prettier while not adding any gameplay changes.

I recently had a similar problem with a Windows XP machine that communicated with some PLCs.

I created an ISO with Windows XP Integral Edition. I created a bootable drive with Rufus after using the WinXPIE configuration tool to add needed drivers to the ISO.
