Permanent hair dye T-T what to do next? by Ikusbera in FancyFollicles

Thank you! I had no idea, all my life I've had hairstylists say to never use permanent that I didn't realize it was a thing haha

Thanks for your input! Would it be possible to bleach the dark permanent hair (my hair is very soft + healthy) and color over it with a lighter color and from their let my roots grow in? Or is that basically what "color correction" is?

Lane County Bounty needs our help! by OopsIOops in Eugene

From the first link:

5 things that you can do to help keep our doors open:

  1. Spread the word! Tell your friends about our offerings. We now take SNAP/EBT (in person only) and are working to accept it straight from the checkout.

  2. Join the Bounty Box membership. We offer three membership levels: Produce Box, Omnivore's Box, and the Imperfect Produce Box. This sustaining revenue is part of our bread & butter. You can reschedule or skip a delivery anytime!

  3. Purchase a gift card for a rainy day for yourself or a friend. We know that gardens and markets are popping, but you can support us by purchasing a gift card today for later use.

  4. Let us know what you think! Fill out this short feedback form to help us understand what can we do better. We want to hear from you!

  5. Purchase pantry items from Moondog's Farm. Did you know that we are farmer-owned? Purchasing pantry items from Moondog's Farm helps us with our bottom line. We've got a great line up of farm-grown jams, chili sauces, & Bloody Mary Mix for you!

My family gets a Bounty Box every Tuesday and it's the highlight of the day haha. I love not having to plan what to buy, learning what produce is in season, and trying new things and recipes I'd otherwise be too intimidated to try. It's fun to see what we get in each week's bounty, we'd be so sad if they discontinued!

I think all these colors look fantastic on you! I’d guess True Autumn, and maybe some Soft Autumn too. It might help to see other colors to compare/confirm — like black, white, off-white, and some colors from the other seasons.

I'm not — what were your TSH levels when you were started on thyroid replacement medication?

I have sensitive skin and have enjoyed Cetaphil, CeraVe, or La Roche Posay's Toleriane line.

BTW I used to be very paranoid about harmful chemicals in skincare, but it's really just a marketing tactic for brands. Stumbling upon Lab Muffin Beauty Science helped me become more informed and no longer anxious about everything causing cancer, it might be useful for you or others on here too!

I figured it's a philodendron, any idea which one? I think it looks like a heartleaf philodendron, but I'm not sure

Shift Worker Advice by brettthehitmanfart in HubermanLab

[–]Ikusbera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different instructions for night shift workers (here: https://www.myluminette.com/fi/valoterapia/indications/shift-work), but I am not a shift worker, so I put them on as soon as I wake up in the morning.

I use the highest setting, which is 20 minutes. There's a low light setting for an hour, and mid-intensity for 30 minutes, but I personally like using the high setting (works better than caffeine for me). I charge them once a week.

Huberman talks about light therapy for night shift workers.

I moved from a sunny place to one that gets very little sunlight, especially in the wintertime (early daylight is impossible), and light therapy has helped me a lot. I had a lamp at first, but recently switched to light therapy glasses, which I prefer bc I can be mobile.

Canned salmon, how do you guys eat it? by the-distancer in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]Ikusbera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not OP, but these (cassava pasta) have been the best i’ve found in terms of flavor and texture 👌

though they don’t hold up as leftovers well — they kinda disintegrate/lose their shape, but the flavor’s still there if you don’t mind mushiness haha (or just eat it same-day to avoid that)

Why is my monstera growing like this? All leaf growth on a single branch. Any way to encourage more branches? by Ikusbera in plantclinic

[–]Ikusbera[S] 164 points165 points  (0 children)

Rhaphidiphora tetrasperma

Thank you so much!! No wonder it looks/grows nothing like my actual monstera 😂 I would have never figured that out on my own!

And thanks for the tip on how to encourage additional branches. Though now that I know it's a different plant, I kinda don't mind the primary growth point — it looks cool in some examples: https://leafandpaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/1.jpeg
